http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article15585.htm I thought that this would also help: At first, the people were fooled. They believed it when their leaders told them that their safety required endless wars and a police state. But freedom turned out to be harder to extinguish than the evil warmongers had imagined. What began as a still, small voice on the "Internets" was echoed by a few brave comedians and commentators until a deafening roar was heard on an election day "thumpin'" that transformed the fearsome bullies into whimpering cowards. Reality check? Do you want to see something that does not appear to be true and yet it most cerainly is true? Note the qoute above that says: "a few brave comedians and commentators" Are you curious? Look here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-869183917758574879 Note the view count on that video: over 2 million. That video recorded a television broadcast from CSPAN. So; on the one hand is a force that may be called democracy and on the other hand is a force that may be called 'the opposition'. What, then, does this ‘democracy’ thing oppose in this case that is now currently occurring on the planet earth? How about this: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article15585.htm "The history of the United States military is clear. Torture doesn't work. Please consider: Put aside all the words used to describe what is going on here and focus on one thing only: Torture. TORTURE Here is a little help on that little exercise in imagination: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article15576.htm Help is not needed. Anyone can imagine torture. Anyone can imagine it. If the imagination is 'good enough', then, the imagined torture is terrifying. No one can like torture. If someone likes torture, then, someone does not know torture. If torture is known, for what it is, and the person knowing this thing called torture is inspired to avoid torture because the person knows that torture is bad, then, I have shown to the reader exactly what 'democracy' opposes. Every person who has the capacity to know that they, the person having the capacity to know, that they, DO NOT WANT TO BE TORTURED, everyone who knows this, THAT WE DO NOT WANT TO BE TORTURED, every one of us, will do something to avoid being tortured OURSELVES. Torture terrorizes people who are being tortured and torture terrorizes people who are witnessing torture. If for no other reason that a very basic instinct to survive drives 'democracy' against torture, then, 'democracy' will only be driven by basic human instinct against torture. The question remains: Are human beings even more barbaric than animals or can human beings be civilized? The answer remains to be seen.

The dollar's collapse and a deep recession/depression in the United States are on the horizon, and why not let Democrats share the blame when it turns out there's little that can be done to turn the situation around? Above is a return to this: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article15585.htm Which is titled this: The Republicans Took a Dive By Ezekiel Jones Which is back to this:
I have a teen age daughter who defeats herself occasionally and in those times she finds me for pity and advice. I don’t respond, or enable, the pity. I do offer advice. I say to my daughter that when you conclude something as being impossible, then, something, according to you, is impossible. What’s the problem? My daughter listens. I say: If you have a problem, then, you have a challenge. If you have a challenge, then, you can work at finding a solution. Your ‘problem’ becomes an ‘opportunity’. What is the problem? “I can’t” That is a problem. Here is a solution or two: http://forum.atimes.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9266
