Oil Turns Geopolitical Tide Against U.S.
The international headlines of the past month would have been unthinkable five years ago – for a start, the U.S. was forced to retreat on two major foreign policy positions in the space of a single week:

If one is to worry about rising Oil Prices, then, one might curl up into the fetal position and hope that the "Authorities" do something about it.

One might do that for some time and even keep doing that for longer. One is not likely to be able to do that forever if one is to think in terms of life after death - otherwise one might reconsider such a strategy. What I mean is: if there is no life after death, then, the 'ostrich' strategy or 'the three monkeys' strategy will work forever; however that time may not last long.

China's economic interests are blooming into military ties: arming militaries in Latin America, for example, writes Lindsey Hilsum

A belligerent imperialist is apt to invest in Nation building or “Spreading Democracy”, whatever, and, in so doing, the effort is bound to encounter an ‘inspired’ resistance.

I call that: Power- dependence. One might wake up one morning to find themselves backed into a corner as the power ‘shifts’ too far to the right (or left) and one may be positioned on the wrong end ‘all of a sudden’ as if they had been asleep for a long, long time.

One might have put too much “Trust” in a false “authority”, in other words, one might have invested much toward something that amounts to ‘less than’ nothing i.e. a shared falsehood.

I’m speaking of a cult of personality that is not something new.  It is a blind obedience, or faith, in falsehood (read: Authority).

One might ask oneself: Who is to blame?

If the answer is: “Blame the authorities”, then, I rest my case.

On second thought: This may not be a good time to rest.
