In order to create a media blitz that every local TV and radio station will report on, we are supporting an initiative to "STAMP OUT FASCISM" on 9/11.  Get your Ron Paul stamp and start stamping every thing in sight!   The goal is to create such a wave of materials in circulation with the "Ron Paul for PRESIDENT" message.  Media sources will have no choice but to report on the phenomenon.  Thus, giving Dr. Paul the exposure he needs to be recognized.  Stamp it all, money, envelopes, bills, foreheads, but do it all  together! (note: it IS completely LEGAL to stamp your money)  Order your RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT stamps by clicking here: http://www.StampRonPaul.com

This can work.

I ordered 2

I'm stamping currency.

Here is an ad:

Profit can be increased when a supply is made scarce.

Do you understand that last sentence?

Imagine having the power to increase or decrease the supply of something valuable; anything.

I like to use oxygen or sunlight as an example.

You have the power to dole out oxygen and sunlight to all human beings.

How much can you charge for this supply?

How much can you charge if the supply is as easy to get as breathing and waiting for the next day?

The Net Neutrality issue is very simple yet it can be complicated if the idea is to make knowledge about it scarce.

Do you understand that last sentence?

If the idea is to limit access to network communication, then, the idea will be to make the Net Neutrality issue confusing. This goes hand in hand. The idea is very simply an ability to profit by making something valuable scarce.

Who benefits? That is an old question. Qui bono?

Like this:

No one needs to know everything however many people want to receive information and many people want to receive information faster and cheaper.

This is a fact. Many, many people, will pay, work for, and finance the communication industry. Many units of purchasing power (currency) is currently focused toward the production of information travel.

This is factual. The power to increase or decrease the rate of information travel is a power that is held by anyone willing and able to gain that power.

How much does it cost anyone to gain the power to increase or decrease the rate of information travel?

Look back at the ad:

Think about air again. Think about sunlight. Think about water. How much could you charge if you had the power to increase or decrease the supply of water?

Note: Water can be clean and water can be polluted.

What if, and you do have to use your brain, you had the power to degrade or upgrade the quality of water and know that this power can be used to increase or decrease the supply of water.

Example:

You have control over two wells in the town. The first well wasn’t enough to supply the population with enough water so people had to ship water in from out of town at a high cost. You couldn’t raise your price of water too high because another supply (although very expensive) existed (out of town).

You could only charge as much as it takes to keep people from buying water from another town.  You can charge just a little less than the cost of importing water.

This is what I call scarce o nomics.

Bush got a C grade in economics.

Now a second well is produced in town and now the supply of water is sufficient to supply enough water for everyone.

Who controls the supply of water?

If someone other than you controls the supply of water from the other well, then, there is competition where the other person can charge less and he will gain more MARKET SHARE. That forces you to lower your price.

If the other OWNER is the combined power of all the customers (a mutual investment group), then, they can get a full supply of water minus the cost (and only the cost) of maintaining the water flow from the well. That will leave you with an ability to charge whatever you want for the remaining market share.

See this?

Before the second well started producing water you had a monopoly on the supply of water in town. You could sell your entire water supply (rate of flow out of the well) at a very high price. You grew very rich.

When the second well was built by a common or mutual investment plan where the whole population contributed a little bit each for a new well, then, the whole population ‘privatized’ a new ‘water company’ and took over the lions share of the water supply market because they didn’t have to gain any profit other than the profit of cheaper water.

You get to supply the remaining amount of water to fill in the remaining demand for water after the cheaper water fills the majority of water customer demand.

You are not gaining wealth nearly as fast as you did when you held all the power (except the importation of foreign water) to supply the water in town.

What happens if you pollute the other well?

Does this clear things up some?

Note: Become familar with: "User friendly", "Open Source", and "Game Theory (Prisoner's Dilema) if this stuff isn't gaining currency in your thinking.

How much do you pay for long distance phone service?

That 'supplier' was free.

You can call anyone, anywhere, anytime for free now.

How do you define 'free'?

Chavez stressed that Venezuela was the fifth largest exporter of crude oil in the world, and one of the largest suppliers to the United States. A coup d'état "is the perfect plan" for US imperialism he continued. "To them it is not important if the Caribbean Sea is dyed red with Venezuelan blood, they want our oil."

He then continued to stress his most important reform "is the transfer of power to the people" through an explosion of grassroots communal, worker, student and campesino councils, formations of them into regional and national federations, and the formation of "communes (to) constitute the basic nucleus of the socialist state." Earlier Chavez stated that democratizing the economy "is the only way to defeat poverty, to defeat misery and achieve the largest sum of happiness for the people." He's not just saying this. He believes and acts on it, and that's why elitists target him for removal even though he wants equity for everyone, even his critics, and business continues to thrive under his government. But not like in the "good old" days when it was all one-way.

Venezuelan Business is Booming - So Why Complain?

Business in Venezuela is indeed booming, and in 2006 the Financial Times said bankers were "having a party" it was so good. So what's the problem? It's not good enough for corporate interests wanting it all for themselves and nothing for the people the way it used to be pre-Chavez. Unfair? Sure, but in a corporate-dominated world, that's how it is and no outliers are tolerated. Thus Hugo Chavez's dilemma.
