Also on my web page, in #12, are videos of different vehicles using the components of water for fuel. These are not fuel cell powered vehicles with electric motors or are they fueled from a source external to the vehicle. The engines in these vehicles are conventional internal combustion engines running on the components of water. A device connected to a tank of water supplies fuel to the engine. One inventor has been running engines on water for over 30-years.

The technology and resources exist, the political will for implementing is lacking.

You Misters Bush and Cheney; you Ms. Rice are villainously and criminally obscene people, obscene human beings, incompetent even to fulfill your own self-serving agenda, while tragically neglectful and destructive of ours and our country's.

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution gives Congress the authority to impeach the president, vice president and "all civil Officers of the United States" for "treason, bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

A serious contender?

Kucinich, defying the leadership of the Democratic Party, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who have been struggling mightily to prevent impeachment from occurring during the waning years of the Bush presidency, on Tuesday filed three articles of impeachment, claiming that Cheney violated his oath of office and the Constitution, for deceiving Congress and the American people about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, about alleged but nonexistent links between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, and finally for making threats to invade Iran.

The mainstream corporate media, which has so far been largely ignoring the issue of impeachment, will have to go to extra lengths of censorship to block out the popular movement now, with a bill on the floor of the House, and with impeachment resolutions passing in the Vermont state legislature. It will be interesting to see how the nation's news gatekeepers handle the story now that it is breaking out into the open so forcefully.

Does Ron Paul support impeachment?

Who supports mass murder?

Answer:

I do - each time I pay a tax or use a currency that finances the mass murder being organized by those mass murderers who are currently holding the power (offices) of the U.S. Nation State.

If there are no judges who have a moral conscience, then, criminals will continue to commit crimes. Is that not simple enough?

Even if George W. Bush were to sign the legislation the Democrats have passed, their plan "allows the President the leeway to escalate the use of military security contractors directly on the battlefield," Erik Leaver of the Institute for Policy Studies points out. It would "allow the President to continue the war using a mercenary army."

When I mention that cadavers are deliberately left lying in the streets until they are bloated by death or chewed at by wild dogs, I am not believed...I am called extraordinary with extraordinary claims.
I am told, surely the civilized world will not allow that!?. I am then asked to prove it.
Like do you want me to send you a corpse by DHL or should I ask one of the mercenaries of Blackwater Inc. to carry one in his suitcase, courtesy of the Crusaders?

After my vote for Kucinich the record placed Obama first.

There is only one of those choices willing to impeach Bush.

What does that mean?

To me:

It means that only one finds mass murder to be wrong.

Because I believe the vice president's conduct of office has been destructive to the founding purposes of our nation. Today, I have introduced House Resolution 333, Articles of Impeachment Relating to Vice President Richard B. Cheney. I do so in defense of the rights of the American people to have a government that is honest and peaceful.

In fact, these articles of impeachment are deeply researched, will stand up in a discussion in the House and in the Senate. And I believe that they are -- that they're imperative to bring forth right now because the threat of war against Iran is very real.

And this vice president cannot be permitted to continue to violate both the U.S. Constitution and the U.N. Charter.

Kucinich is currently drafting legislation that would ban the purchase, sale, transfer, or possession of handguns by civilians. A gun buy-back provision will be included in the bill.

“America is being engulfed in violence every day. Let’s show them we have the wisdom and the courage to come from our hearts to meet this challenge,” Kucinich said.

That is a killer.

Disarming innocent people intends to accomplish peace? That is akin to banning information to accomplish knowledge.

For Democracy, We Must Consider Impeachment

By Midge Miller

Democracy is not merely the system of government we happened to be born into, a system that only asks us to vote for leaders from time to time. If democracy means we are a self-governing people, then it means we not only have the right but the responsibility to control the policies and actions of our government.

Many of us have resisted the idea of impeaching Cheney and Bush. But we now realize that by allowing this administration to continue in power, we become a party to:
  • Killing Americans and other people in wars of aggression.
  • Imprisoning and torturing people.
  • Endangering our economy and the environment.
  • Neglecting health, education and other needs at home and abroad.
  • Eroding our own liberties.
Our Founding Fathers understood the misuse of power and gave us impeachment as a corrective measure. Facing such a disastrous series of wrongheaded policies, if we fail to use it, we signal to future presidents and other leaders that they too can ignore the will and the welfare of the people of our country and the world.

Other co-sponsors of Kucinich's impeachment resolution are California Democrats Lynn Woolsey and Barbara Lee, who co-chair the House progressive caucus, along with Al Wynn, D-Md.; Yvette Clark, D-N.Y.; Jan Schakowsky, D-Il.; and William Lacy Clay, D-Mo.

"I believe this is another milestone," Kucinich said. "With the support of the leaders of the Progressive Caucus and the leader of the Out of Iraq Caucus we will see more and more Members of Congress signing on in this effort to save our Constitution and protect the very values that bind us as a nation."

Why a growing grassroots movement on the left wants to impeach the president -- and why Democrats in Washington don't even want to talk about it.
By Drake Bennett  |  June 24, 2007

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/prejudice

an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason.

That is the "P" word.

Back to the "I" word News item is found:
The only impeachment resolution currently before Congress, introduced by Ohio Congressman and presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich this spring, is directed solely at Cheney, and when asked, Kucinich refuses to say whether he'd support impeaching Bush. "I'm pretty much staying focused on the effort to impeach the Vice President," he says.
How many are needed?

The Kucinch tactic is to begin impeachment proceedings which 'discover' facts including any 'facts' that implicate crimes commited by the President. How can that not work to, at least, slow down the torture and mass murdering going on while financing these crimes with 'our' wealth?

See how that works? The weath created by innocent American people who have no time to spend 'governing' the National Government, that wealth, is stolen from those People who have to work harder just to make ends meet because that wealth is stolen, AND, that wealth is being spent, NOW, on torture and mass murder, so, slowing that rate of wealth being spent on torture and mass murder can accomplish at least three things.

A. Less innocent people being tortured.

B. Less people being murders

C. More wealth in the hands of Americans so they can GOVERN the National Government.

Meanwhile the American people have to depend upon a handful of REPRESENTATIVES who do have the POWER to accomplish A, B, and C.

Is that too simple?

Despite vocal protestations on and off-the-record by Democratic Congressional leaders, the movement to impeach Cheney or President Bush has begun to pick up steam. According to a recent poll, a majority of Americans favor the vice president's ouster from office, and anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan announced that she would run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi if the San Francisco Congresswoman does not introduce articles of impeachment within the next two weeks.

I was just told Dick Cheney, while CEO of Halliburton, used her services regularly, they are trying to spin up a message to explain that members of his staff, in his offices, used this service to entertain foreign clients.

The answer to our healthcare woes is thus not more government regulation, or the shifting of payment for healthcare from individuals to the government.

I didn't read the whole article. The dogma is tiresome - too expensive.

Health Care is much the same as the Net Neutrality issue. Side A and side B are fighting over control of power. The solution is not to transfer more power from the many and to the few. The solution is to earn more power, invest more power into earning more power, and to avoid transfering any power (by force) away from those who earn it.

The problem is the monstrosity called THE STATE. Our (humanities) enemy is falsehood. The State is a monster because it is false.

The STATE can not fix any problem - ever. People must fix, or create, problems. I've looked over the Kucinich Universal Heath Care Plan and find it to be a step in the right direction compared to no change in the current, and despicable, drive toward Limited Liability Corporate Fascist Health Care Profit Pyramid Schemes.

Those are a lot of words but not nearly as many words as can be found in all the 'legal' documents applied to force medical proffessionals to abide by the multitude of LAWS governing the medical proffession.

How about some sanity? How about logic?

When the profit motive is applied to the medical profession and the word "profit" does not include a measure of 'health' for each individual involved in the medical profession, then, the medical profession will be driven toward 'making money'.

Doctors may work themselves to death treating more and more patients as cheaply as possible, as fast as possible, and run their profession like an assembly line.

If ever a profession existed whereby the motive for contributing toward this profession was driven by a clear sense of charity, then, the medical profession is it. Giving time and energy to better another person's life motivates people toward the medical profession. There is no money tree in the medical profession. If there is a money tree in the medical profession, then, I think that tree was built and nurtured into existence by fraud and force. It is unnatural.

Fraud and force be seen as a cause of the problems associated with the medical profession with a simple investigation. Follow the paper trail.

Who controls the paper trial? Who dictates the costs associated with moving paper?

You may not be accustomed to viewing this issue in this manner. If you are not accustomed to viewing this issue in this manner, then, you are now realizing the fraud part of the problem. This viewpoint uncovers the problem and goes directly to the source of the problem.

Any person living can become infected with a form of injury that will cost that person more wealth than that person can ever produce in his entire lifetime. That person may die of the infection. That is a huge price to pay.

How can that person survive the infection?

That person, any person, must disperse the cost of treatment. Other people must pay the cost of treatment or that person will die.

That is fact. That above is irrefutable fact.

Take any example of infection, injury, disease, accident, and crime visited upon any person and know that the costs of treatment can easily exceed any capacity for one person to assume those costs on their own.

This brings up many possible viewpoints that people utlize to conceptualize how the costs of threatment are dispersed from the injured to other people.

A. Society pays the costs

B. The Free Market pays the costs

C. Government pays the costs

D. The State pays the costs

E. Insurance pays the costs

It matters not how any one person or any group of people sharing any one viewpoint view the facts and how the facts are labeled. The facts remain the facts.

The redistribution of costs associated with medical treatments happens. It happens no matter what form is filled out or which agency fills out the forms. It happens or people die.

Allow me to pick what happens to work as the most accurate method of accounting for the actual transfers of wealth when individuals are treated by medical professionals.

E. Insurance pays the costs

If the medical profession is to be liberated from all fraud and all misdirected force, then, the focus of attention must be directed at INSURANCE.

Insurance is the practice of being TAXED in proportion to a predictable measure of future cost. If you are going to be insured, then, you must be TAXED.

I use the term TAX to mean simply: You can't spend all your earnings on fun stuff, NO, you have to TAX yourself and give up some of your wealth toward a FUND where other people have access to that WEALTH when medical costs MUST BE PAID FOR.

Although doctors are driven into the medical profession for charitable reasons it is absurd to expect anyone to work for free.

This falls under the "You can't have your cake and eat it too" perception unless you happen to be a lying theif (and even that profession requires a TAXING amount of time and effort expended by anyone profiting from it).

This brings up the term Universality.

How much does one person pay and how much does one person receive during the transfers of wealth associated with the medial profession?

And - what governs those transfers of wealth?

Return for a moment to view a few of the labels being used to describe the reality of the transfers of wealth in the medical profession:

A. Society pays the costs

B. The Free Market pays the costs

C. Government pays the costs

D. The State pays the costs

E. Insurance pays the costs

F. Individual human beings pay the costs

There can be no rational argument refuting choice F above. Individual human beings pay the costs. Choice E is one of many possible methods of 'following the paper trail' to find which individuals pay the costs and which individuals receive the treatment that must be paid for with wealth.

Someone must pay. People will be treated. Doctors, nurses, and emergency medical technicians will work for nothing until they die. If those noble people are paid well, then, they will do a better job. If they are worked to death, then, which doctor will be left?

Who pays?

Universallity is a concept whereby everyone pays the same amount and every recieves the same treatment. That is called a principle. Universality is a principle to aim at and it is a priciple that opposes the opposite principle. The opposite principle is obvious. The opposite principle is that a few people will pay more and a few people will recieve less treatment. Does that not make clear cents?

No will be the answer provided by falsehood. Yes is the accurate answer. The principle of universality opposes the principle of fraud and violence. The right principle is obviously the principle of universality where each person who participates in the insurance method of distributing costs associated with medical treatment will pay the same amount (on principle) and each person will receive the same treatment (as a principle).

Insurance can operate on this principle of universality. Insurance can also operate on the principle of fraud and violence.

How about following some of the paper on the trail as it exists in reality?

How much does insurance demand from any one person as any one person transfers wealth to the insurance fund and how is that amount calculated?

How much does insurance pay out to any one person as any one person administers medical treatment and how is that amount calculated?

If you have followed this to this point, then, you have arrived at the problem.

The solution is found in apply the right principle to the calculations of how much any one person pays and how much any one person is paid from insurance which is merely a fund and is merely a calculation.

Consider, for example, a Universal Health Care Insurance Calculator that merely accounts for how much anyone pays in and how much anyone takes out of the FUND.

How much does the calculator cost?

A cost-less calculator can be transparent (a simple program that is universally applied to everyone without prejudice and without any fraudulent changes arranged in secret meetings while everyone else isn't paying attention) and a cost-less calculator can voluntarily compete against any other cost-more insurance scheme that manages to transfer large sums of wealth from the TAX payers to the LIMITED LIABILITY INSURANCE COMPANY.

Please think about that one. Once the program (the calculator) is written and once the computer (or many networked computers calculating the same program) is in place, then, the Universal Health Care Insurance Calculator cost very little; cost - less.

A cost-less calculator liberates more wealth which lowers the wealth paid by each individual and liberties more wealth to be received by health care providers.

Think about how that works some.

A person knows how much it costs, up front, for basic medical coverage and that same basic coverage applies to any person universally. The individual pays the TAX (premium) and receives the basic (Universal) coverage that is known up front.

Before diving into any additional charges or TAXES required for NON BASIC coverage (such as possible extra charges for people who choose to smoke or choose to drink and drive or choose any non basic and life threatening activities) it is important to inspect the BASIC NATURE OF UNIVERSALITY.

A minimum payment for anyone participating is a known amount based upon the BASIC calculation. The basic coverage is merely a function of the number of participants and the BASIC individual payment.

Do you see this? This is very important. This is called "Economies of Scale".

Consider two competing insurance policies where half the population uses the BASIC calculator and the number of people covered is One Hundred million people.

Suppose next that the premium for BASIC coverage is 100 units of wealth per month (dollars).

The number is difficult to imagine. One hundred times One hundred million times twelve will arrive at the FUND from which to begin paying out to medical professionals as medical professionals begin to treat the people covered under this BASIC insurance calculation.

A small portion of the wealth is spent on the administration of the calculator.

The smaller the portion spent on the administration of the calculator the more wealth there is to be spent on medical treatment.

The calculation identifies the amount per person required by each individual based upon some reason of some kind.

Insurance companies now have complex calculations for very specific (not basic) coverages of very specific treatments. It is absurd to suggest that math cannot offer a reasonable estimate of the required BASIC transfer of wealth from someone covered by this BASIC insurance into the FUND to be used to pay medical professionals.

100 units of wealth is an arbitrary number I used to illustarte the point.

Here is the number based upon 100 million people covered over 12 months:

$120,000,000,000.00

That is 120 Billion per year.

In my opinion there isn't any need to 'regulate' how much a doctor charges for treatment. The calculation merely averages the 'costs' of treatment and if the doctors charge too much, then, the FUND goes to zero in the first year, so, the premium per person increases for the next year.

A person might think that a doctor will over charge and doctors will over charge and soon doctors will be receiving more and more of the money earned by PEOPLE.

That is utterly ridiculous. Doctors, nurses, and emergency medical technicians are PEOPLE. They know how to earn a living. They don't have to steal.

An insurance company, on the other hand, may be inspired to cook the books.

Here is a number that can help make the Twelve Billion Dollar number make more cents:

Congressman Dennis Kucinich's 2001 Preservation of Space Act calls for a ban on:

the use of land-based, sea-based, or space-based systems using radiation, electromagnetic, psychotronic, sonic, laser, or other energies directed at individual persons or targeted populations for the purpose of information war, mood management, or mind control of such persons or populations.

Kucinich was refering to technologies he had learned about during his chairmanship of the House Armed Services Oversight Committee.

Impeach Now

Or Face the End of Constitutional Democracy

By PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS

Too much is going wrong for the Bush administration: the failure of its Middle East wars, Republican senators jumping ship, Turkish troops massed on northern Iraq's border poised for an invasion to deal with Kurds, and a majority of Americans favoring the impeachment of Cheney and a near-majority favoring Bush's impeachment. The Bush administration desperately needs dramatic events to scare the American people and the Congress back in line with the militarist-police state that Bush and Cheney have fostered.

William Norman Grigg recently wrote that the GOP is "praying for a terrorist strike" to save the party from electoral wipeout in 2008.
Chertoff, Cheney, the neocon nazis, and Mossad would have no qualms about saving the bacon for the Republicans, who have enabled Bush to start two unjustified wars, with Iran waiting in the wings to be attacked in a third war.

Conventional modern medicine, however, very rarely employs Coley’s Toxins in the treatment of cancer, for reasons almost as complicated as the human immune system itself. One concern is the far-from-complete understanding of the mechanism of action; generally, doctors are reluctant to administer treatments whose workings they don’t fully comprehend.

Now you don't have to have seen Sicko to know that if there is one area of human endeavor where private enterprise doesn't work, it's healthcare. Consider the private, profit-making insurance industry, which Bush is so determined to defend.

Mayor of Cleveland
Anyone who takes the time to read the history of Cleveland while Kucinich was mayor (1978-79) will discover that Kucinich proved himself to be a man of his word and an equally scrappy populist who took on the Big Boys of Cleveland-and won. Corporate interests who controlled the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company (CEI) wanted to acquire the city-owned electric plant called Muny Light. Kucinich ran on a campaign promise to retain ownership of the plant, despite the fact that his own city council and the six banks holding the city's 14 million in loans (racked up by the previous administration) conspired against him to try to force the sale of the plant. Rather than knuckle under -which is what most politicians would have done-Kucinich held his ground and got a special election ballot referendum on February 27, 1979 to keep the plant and pay off the loans with a 1/2% tax increase. At the time, Kucinich was vilified and lampooned to no end by the media as "Dennis the Menace" or as a Hitleresque cartoon character, but the wheel came full circle when in May of 1996, The Cleveland Magazine (formerly a critic) said:

"There is little debate over the value of Muny Light today. Now Cleveland Public Power, it is a proven asset to the city that between 1985 and 1995 saved its customers $195,148,520 over what they would have paid CEI."

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Kucinich ) adds that:

Kucinich's move also preserved hundreds of union jobs. In 1998, city council granted Kucinich amnesty, stating that he had "the courage and foresight to refuse to sell the city's municipal electric system."

That is a case of censure. What is the difference between the words anyone writes and publishes and the words written by politicians in office?

One difference is: Politicians in office write words that censure everyone else's words.

This is like a game of rock, paper, scissors.

It is no longer a game when you lose. The stakes are high. The losers are being tortured for years on end and the losers are piles and piles of criminal mass murder.

Kucinich grills Rumsfeld on 'cover up' at Tillman hearing

"Was there a Department of Defense press strategy with respect to the war?" the Ohio Democrat asked.

"If there was, it obviously wasn't very good," Rumsfeld quipped back.

The Rumsfeld remark drew Kucinich's ire.

How about a look at this Tillman case?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=tillman

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/05/22/AR2005052200865.html

"After it happened, all the people in positions of authority went out of their way to script this," Patrick Tillman said. "They purposely interfered with the investigation, they covered it up. I think they thought they could control it, and they realized that their recruiting efforts were going to go to hell in a handbasket if the truth about his death got out. They blew up their poster boy."

Dig deeper?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=tillman+expose

http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/09/25/MNGD7ETMNM1.DTL

Were witnesses allowed to change their testimony on key details, as alleged by one investigator? Why did internal documents on the case, such as the initial casualty report, include false information? When did top Pentagon officials know that Tillman’s death was caused by friendly fire, and why did they delay for five weeks before informing his family?
“There have been so many discrepancies so far that it’s hard to know what to believe,” Mary Tillman said. “There are too many murky details.” The files the family received from the Army in March are heavily censored, with nearly every page containing blacked-out sections; most names have been deleted. (Names for this story were provided by sources close to the investigation.) At least one volume was withheld altogether from the family, and even an Army press release given to the media has deletions. On her copies, Mary Tillman has added competing marks and scrawls — countless color-coded tabs and angry notes such as “Contradiction!” “Wrong!” and “????”

Deeper?

http://www.truthdig.com/eartotheground/item/20070726_pat_tillman_murdered/

Defense Department documents handed over to the Associated Press under a Freedom of Information Act request raised the possibility that the “friendly-fire” death of soldier and former NFL player Pat Tillman amounted to a crime.  Doctors examining Tillman’s body after he was killed in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators that the three bullet holes in his head appeared to have been fired by an M-16 from less than a dozen yards away rather than the 100 meters or so that the military has claimed.

How about Alex Jones? Don't expect any sugar coating.

http://www.infowars.com/articles/military/tillman_new_evidence_indicates_tillman_executed.htm

As far back as March 2003, immediately after the invasion, Tillman famously told his comrade Spc. Russell Baer, "You know, this war is so fucking illegal," and urged his entire platoon to vote against Bush in the 2004 election. Far from the gung-ho gruff stereotype attributed to him, Tillman was actually a fiercely intellectual man with the courage of his convictions firmly in place.

According to Daily Kos , Wesley Clark appeared on Keith Olbermann's Countdown last night and stated that "the orders came from the very top" to murder Tillman as he was a political symbol and his opposition to the war in Iraq would have rallied the population around supporting immediate withdrawal.

The notion that the U.S. government gave orders for Army top brass to execute Pat Tillman in cold blood is the most damaging indictment of the Iraq war since it began, trumping the lies about weapons of mass destruction tenfold, but if the establishment media continue to soft-peddle and steam-valve one of the biggest stories of the century its impact will be completely diluted.

"The belligerent Bush Administration is using this pending designation to convince the American public into accepting that a war with Iran is inevitable," Kucinich said. "This designation will set the stage for more chaos in the region because it undercuts all of our diplomatic efforts."

Kucinich, who is mounting a second dark horse race for the presidency, has called for Vice President Dick Cheney's impeachment. Introducing an impeachment resolution in April, Kucinich accused Cheney of manipulating intelligence in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq and "rattling the sabers of war against Iran," as RAW STORY reported at the time.

Kucinich: House Bill Undermines Efforts For Peaceful Resolution To Iran Nuclear Situation

Dennis Kucinich, the colorful Cleveland congressman and longshot presidential candidate, has outraged Jewish leaders in Northeast Ohio by insisting that Iran's anti-Zionist leader is not seeking to exterminate Israel.

http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/20070811_kucinich_throws_down_the_gauntlet/

I believe in strength through peace, through enforcing the [Nuclear] Non-Proliferation Treaty, which at its heart calls for nuclear abolition.  We should be talking about nuclear abolition, not about first strike.  This desire for aggressiveness with nuclear weapons is chilling and requires the most intense scrutiny of someone’s position on the most basic issue of survival of the planet.  Jonathan Schell was writing about these things decades ago—about the effects of the use of nuclear weapons.  I don’t understand why [Clinton] feels this need to look tough with respect to weapons.  What kind of calculations could she possibly be making?

"What's going on here? Think Oil"

If Ron Paul intends to lie his way into office, then, he had better choose a lie that will gain currency.

Did he?

Did Ron Paul choose a lie that will gain currency?

FUCK OFF.

What is going on here?

Think currency?

If Ron Paul merely made a mistake in his comment where he, Ron Paul, accuses the democrats (all of them) of this or that, then, that was a case of prejudice.

Prejudiced is an error. Prejudice harms the innocent.

Why?

Ignorance?

Stupidity?

Is it time to move away from ignorance, stupidity, and prejudice?

And in an era of mass delusion and denial on the party of leaders in both major political parties, stating the obvious can be a radical act.

Such is the case with Kucinich appropriate answer to the latest move by the Bush-Cheney administration to ramp up hostilities with Iran. That move — the unprecedented attempt to label Iran’s 125,000-strong Republican Guard as a “specially designated global terrorist” group — is, as the congressman says “nothing more than an attempt to deceive Americans into yet another war — this time with Iran.”

No one who has paid even the slightest attention to the Bush-Cheney administration’s approach to Middle East affairs can doubt that Kucinich is right. Yet, his is a lonely voice of clarity amid the din of Democratic obfuscation that aids and abets this White House’s worst instincts.

“The belligerent Bush Administration is using this pending designation to convince the American public into accepting that a war with Iran is inevitable,” argues Kucinich.

The impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney -- HR 333 – has been called for in a bill introduced by Ohio Congressman and Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich. That bill, if advanced by the leadership of the U.S. House, will help answer the questions of who lied, when, and why.

For some reason my links to the Kucinich Forum continue to change.

I found the link to the "old" Kucinich forum and found the following:

http://kheper.net/essays/Transfinancial_Economics.html

Interest Free Monetary Reform.
At the present time radical monetary reform is concerned with the power of banks. These private commercial companies create virtually all of the money of the world as loans, or credit. Strictly speaking, governments issue the rest as coins, and paper. The banks though produce it "out of thin air" by simply adding figures of a higher monetary value onto paper, and/or computers. There is also meant to be a limit on how much they can create, and this is based on "money" kept in reserve. This whole set-up is called fractional reserve banking. The banks ofcourse make huge super-normal profits on their loans for commercial, governmental, and private use (eg. mortgages).

Dear Joe Kelley,

Dennis Kucinich will take to the airwaves for an unprecedented three hours today (Wednesday) when he becomes the first Presidential hopeful to accept the invitation of one of the nation's premiere radio broadcasters, Ed Schultz, for a no-holds-barred discussion of the issues, the candidates, and the priorities in the 2008 campaign.

Kucinich will be in Schultz's Fargo (North Dakota) studio beginning at noon (ET) to field questions from "America's #1 Progressive Talker" and from an audience that includes millions of listeners on local affiliates, including subscribers to Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio. (Check here) for local listings. The program is also streamed live over the Internet.

In national polls, Kucinich has been steadily creeping up on the perceived Democratic front-runners – Clinton, Obama, and Edwards – and, in some recent on-line surveys, he has significantly out-polled those top three.

Almost simultaneous with the first Presidential discussion on the Ed Schultz program, Kucinich will be participating in the Huffington Post "Democratic Presidential Mashup" http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tag/candidate-mashup/ where he will address wide-ranging questions from citizens all across the country that will posted and broadcast later this week.

After the Schultz program, Kucinich will leave for Hawaii, where he will be the first Presidential candidate to reach out to voters there since the campaign began early this year.

Help Answer Neo Con's Smear Attack on Kucinich

Dear Joe Kelley,

Nearly two weeks ago, I went to the Middle East on a peace mission, accompanied by my wife Elizabeth. Today I am being attacked as a traitor and  vilified for reaching out to people of the region, hearing their concerns and discussing those concerns openly in public forums. My campaign is in need of immediate financial assistance to respond to a right wing hate machine that went into over-drive on the 6th anniversary of 9/11, using my visit to Syria and Lebanon as red meat for their attack dogs. Please go to http://www.dennis4president.com now to contribute.

Elizabeth and I went to the region to determine the level of interest that exists for peace. As the person who led Democrats five years ago in opposition to the war against Iraq, I went to determine the impact of the war on Syria, which shares a border with Iraq and has taken in over 1.5 million Iraqi refugees. I went to learn what the issues are that separate Syria from hopes for peace with Israel. I went to see for myself the impact of border security issues. I went to learn how the U.S. is viewed by ordinary people. I made my self available to media to discuss my own views as to how the U.S. can take a more constructive role in the region and lead the way to peace.

As the author of legislation HR1234, a plan to end the Iraq war, I went to determine whether anyone in the international community believed the war could end soon and how Iraq can be made more stable. As someone who attended the first Congressional briefing on the Baker Hamilton report, I went to learn if, in fact, Syria was ready to play the constructive role that the report envisioned. I went to learn the degree to which Syria was providing relief for Iraq's refugees. We met with presidents, political leaders, ordinary citizens and the media to hear their concerns and to share hopes for peace in the Middle East.

As a Congressman, I have a special obligation to determine whether the money that is spent in furtherance of U.S. policy is being spent constructively or destructively, based on lies or on truth. As a Presidential candidate, I must learn first hand whether the opportunity for peace between nations is a pipe dream or a real possibility. I have no authority to enter into negotiations for the U.S., to fashion agreements, to sign treaties, or to establish policy between nations. As President, I will be able to affect these matters more directly.

Reason and peace should not be silenced by fear mongers or the right wing attack machine. But I need your help to answer them now. We must not allow efforts for peace and reconciliation to be continually destroyed by those who want permanent war.

I am asking for your support. I am asking all of my supporters, who have donated in the past, to match their earlier contributions by September 30. If you have not yet given - now is the time. It is essential for our campaign to raise $250,000 to enable us to continue our message of strength through peace. I am asking you to continue standing with me and with our campaign. Together we are making a difference; together we will continue to build the America we all want to see.

Sincerely,

Dennis J Kucinich

He was outvoted 334-1. Ninety-eight members weren't present; for the most part, they were either attending Sept. 11 commemorations or the out-of-town memorial service for Ohio Rep. Paul Gillmor, or they had departed town early for the Jewish holidays.

Click here to see how your representative voted for the resolution.

The Ohio Democrat's statement mirrored remarks he's made along the campaign trail, as well as those in a recent interview on Syrian television. The interview followed a meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad during a Middle East tour.

"The fact of the matter is we are all being weakened by continuing a war that's based on a lie. This war was based on lies. Iraq didn't have the weapons of mass destruction. It wasn't connected to 9/11. It had nothing to do with Al Qaeda's role in 9/11," Kucinich said.

Kucinich 'seriously thinking' about forcing vote on Cheney impeachment

Nick Juliano
Published: Friday September 28, 2007

"We're preparing for another war, and they're going to destroy America," the Ohio Democrat said Thursday on the Ed Schultz show. "We have a government in place right now that has to be challenged. I'm seriously thinking about calling a privileged resolution on impeachment of the vice president and forcing a vote on the floor of the House."

A privileged resolution would force the full House to debate about whether to proceed with impeachment, but it remains unclear precisely how, when or whether Kucinich would be able to introduce such a resolution. Privileged measures "may be called up on the floor whenever another measure is not already pending" and the House agrees to consider it, according to the Congressional Research Service.

The Truth is Out There--Can We Handle It?
Bush, Oil and Moral Bankruptcy
By RAY McGOVERN
Former CIA Analyst

What's going on here seems to be a concerted effort to get us accustomed to the prospect of a long, and possibly expanded war? Don't you remember? Those terrorists, or Iraqis, or Iranians, or jihadists...whoever...are trying to destroy our way of life. The White House spin machine is determined to justify the war in ways they think will draw popular support from folks like the well heeled man who asked me querulously before a large audience, "Don't you agree that several GIs killed each week is a small price to pay for the oil we need?"

Ahh...

http://www.portia.org/chapter12/iraq.html

Look now; I'm all for a very strong defensive capability against aggressive invaders intent upon torture and mass murder.

Don't blame the soldiers for being a strong defensive capability agianst agrressive invaders intent upon torture and mass murder.

Account, please, for the people abusing a strong defensive capability against aggressive invaders intent upon torture, mass murder, and other crimes.

Example:

Identify by trial the person's ressponsible for the unprovoked invasion of Iraq that continues to torture and murder massive numbers of innocent people INCLUDING members of the U.S. Military force who may be needed in defense against aggressive invaders intent upon torture and mass murder.

People, ohhhhh people, it is past time to account here and how about trying to be accurate about it - huh?

There is a serious contradiction between what is said and what is done.

Example:

"I am the only one running for president...(democrat)"

Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and MIKE GRAVEL are all on the same page on many issues SOOOOOOOO why don't they get together and discuss a PEACE through STRENGTH agreement?

Why does Ron Paul NOT support impeachment of the current crimnal neo con (men) regime?

“After the lies and deception used to lead us to war in Iraq, the belligerent Bush Administration cannot be given leeway with statements that suggest a preemptive attack on Iran is necessary,” Kucinich said. “We are systematically destroying every available route to restoring peace and security in the Middle East.

“Congress must take back its exclusive authority to declare war from the Bush Administration.”

That is why insisting that Mukasey say that waterboarding is torture is, in spite of the alarming apparent defection of Feinstein and Schumer, an important tactic and even the perfect opening for the impeachment bid that Kucinich is bringing on November 6th to be followed by Congressional investigations into possible criminality.

The Mukasey hesitation on torture is our cue to call a halt to these crimes. (By the way, strapping victims to boards to prepare them for torture was common at Buchenwald.)

Congress must ask:

- What is torture?
- Has it happened?
- Who ordered it?
- How high up the chain of command does this go?
- And what does our system of laws say about such crimes and those who commit them

(The Politico) Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) plans to take to the floor of the House Tuesday and introduce a privileged resolution to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney. The privilege approach allows him to circumvent Democratic leadership, which opposes voting on the measure.

His resolution will be met with a motion to table it. A vote against the motion will be a vote in favor of impeaching Cheney – as Kucinich explains over and over in this YouTube clip taken from a presidential campaign stop.

An American Research Group poll this summer found more than half of Americans support his impeachment.

Regardless, the measure is expected to fail by a wide margin.

So, what do we do now?

Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, Kucinich introduced H Res 333 as a privileged resolution. It survived an attempt to table (kill) it. It was referred to the House Judiciary Committee:
Live Blog and video of what happened.

Kucinich's post-introduction
statement.

Waffling reaction from Conyers' committee via
BradBlog:
"The Committee has a very busy agenda - over the next two weeks, we hope to pass a FISA bill, to vote on contempt of Congress citations, pass legislation on prisoner re-entry, court security and a variety of other very important items. We were surprised that the minority was so ready to move forward with consideration of a matter of such complexity as impeaching the Vice President. The Chairman will discuss today's vote with the Committee members but it would seem evident that the committee staff should continue to consider, as a preliminary matter, the many abuses of this Administration, including the Vice President."
Take Action:
Contact the House Judiciary Committee.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich, whose bill to impeach Cheney has 22 sponsors,
introduced his resolution as planned on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6.

Read
"It's Time to Impeach Cheney" by Dennis Kucinich.

Watch Dennis in a short video, and another one.

Here's
report from Nov. 5 conference call with Kucinich.

http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/?q=node/28469

Eighty-six Congress Members showed a level of support for impeachment today by voting against tabling Congressman Kucinich's resolution. That indicates the strength of constituent pressure in opposition to the leadership's position. The resolution is back in the same committee but with more momentum now. The media is more aware. The public is more aware. Congressman Kucinich is fired up and ready to introduce new resolutions on both Cheney and Bush. Congress heard from the public in massive numbers - the phones on the hill were jammed. And the public is energized. The intense lobbying that a day like this one inspires may combine with the polling results to begin to open the Democratic leadership's eyes to the electoral danger of not backing impeachment. I think we should urge all the talk shows to give the Republicans the impeachment debate they wanted

 http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2007/roll1039.xml
      H RES 799      RECORDED VOTE      6-Nov-2007      4:32 PM
QUESTION:  On Motion to Refer the Resolution
BILL TITLE: A resolution raising a question of the privileges of the House.

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are on opposite sides on this vote.

4:41 The motion to send it to the Judiciary Committee passed with only about 5 Dems voting No and 3 Republicans voting Yes. Presumably the 86 Dems who voted No on tabling believed that to be enough to appease their constituents, while 5 Dems actually had integrity enough to put the Constitution ahead of Pelosi and Hoyer. There was no discussion of a time limit for the Judiciary Committee to report back (even though there are precedents for insisting on one with impeachment resolutions). This bill has, of course, ALREADY been in the Judiciary Committee for months, and that committee has done nothing with it.

You'd think if offense (rather than defense) ever entered Pelosi and Hoyer's heads, they'd want to put an hour of Cheney-bashing debate on TV. But they want at all costs to avoid impeachment, and you can't debate the substance of the charges against Cheney without making an obvious case for impeachment.

Roll call. These 5 Dems voted right: Filner, Kaptur, Kucinich, Waters, Towns.

Do you see that? Ron Paul is voting no for 'tabling' the resolution which opens a window of 'debate' on the resolution. This is censorship. This is business as usual. Power politics; hide, deceive, cover-up, apologize, and render the people powerless.

What is the harm in coming out of the closet?

The laundry is certainly in need of cleaning.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x2218064

I called asked if Rep Paul was going to be present to vote, and if so how would he vote on HR 333. I was immediately regaled-inindated by a litany of Rep Pauls past votes against the war etc etc. I asked again the same question. he finally said he wasn't sure if Paul would vote, but that if he did it would be against it, because the bill was 'flawed'. I said that I was aware of the futility and shortcomings, but that at this stage of the game it was important that a STRONG message be sent, one that said 'ignore this at your own peril'. The pencil-neck then informed me that I obviously was ignorant of the great things Paul had done in the past, and asked again where I was calling from and didn't I didn't understand that the Bill addressed the wrong person. I took a deep breath and asked him if Paul didn't consider Cheney the main architect and plan manager of the Iraq war? The geek went right back to the first script he read.

I told him that I never missed an election and he could count on me working overtime to defeat Mr. Paul in any future elections, even for dog catcher!

FUCK RON PAUL!!!!! and gawd help the first sonuvabitch who I run into face to face who supports him!

An explanation from Ron Paul and not from heresy is in order.

Yesterday in a stunning development, a bipartisan majority of

Congress rejected the attempt to kill the privileged resolution

brought by Dennis Kucinich to impeach Vice President Cheney, for his

unprecedented constitutional high crimes. Instead the bill was sent

to the House Judiciary Committee, which is exactly where we want it

to build momentum. Now all we have to do is pressure them to follow

through, and impeachment will be a reality.

We have created a special action page which not only sends your

personal message to your individual House members, but also sends a

copy to BOTH Nancy Pelosi and the House Judiciary Committee itself.

This is now a whole new ballgame. Please submit this page now to

reiterate your support for impeachment of Cheney first, H.Res 333.

H.Res 333 Action Page:
http://www.usalone.com/hres333.php

Facebook Version:

http://apps.facebook.com/fb_voices/action.php?qnum=pnum709

We asked you to take action over the weekend and you did. And the

result was a dramatic jump in support for impeachment of Cheney in

Congress.

We told you that we were shipping 25,000 full color 11x17 glossy

Impeach Cheney posters last week and we did. We now have nearly 1,000

volunteers putting them up all over college campuses right now. And

even before the amazing victory yesterday we had already made a

commitment for yet another 25,000 for delivery next week. You can see

the poster at this page.

Impeach Cheney Poster:

http://www.usalone.com/impeach_cheney_flyer.php

Please join us in helping to put up these posters, to recruit more

and more people to speak out for defending our Constitution. If you

can make a donation of any kind to help defray the immense cost of

printing and shipping all these beautiful mobilizing posters, you can

do so at the page above, and at the same time request as many posters

as you would like to put out yourself. And then we'll connect you

with one of the hundreds of Impeach Teams already forming all over

the country.

And remember, you don't have to make a contribution to get the full

size four color Impeach Cheney posters. Just send us an email and

we'll get you as many as you would like put up for no charge. But if

you can make a donation, this is what enables us to send posters for

free to those valiant activists who cannot afford to donate anything.

Impeach Cheney Flyer:
http://www.usalone.com/impeach_cheney_flyer.php

It gets better than that. Also on this same page above we have a link

for a printable pdf flyer (8-1/2 by 11 version) you can print out on

your own printer for handing out or posting. Many of you have asked

we make this available and we have. If you just want to do that,

again please email us so we can put you together with the Impeach

Team in your own community.

Now is the time for the people to make their move. This is what we

have been waiting for. The House Judiciary Committee must act. We can

force them to act by getting everyone who cares about our democracy

to speak out at once. For they know that if they do not listen to the

people now, there will be strong primary challenges for each and

every one of their seats, without exception, in just another minute.

If You Can, Step Up For Kucinich Too

None of what is happening now would be happening without the

courageous leadership of Dennis Kucinich on this issue. Who else has

the sheer guts to call for what the American people want? If you want

to thank him for his stand on this issue, please consider making a

donation to him as well.

Kucinich Donations:

Please take action NOW, so we can win all victories that are supposed

to be ours, and forward this alert as widely as possible.

REP. DENNIS KUCINICH: Well, you know, I mean, the New York Times has yet to discover that I’m a candidate. I could -- if I suddenly catch fire in New Hampshire, where we’re running fourth and closing in on third place, I would imagine that I could even win the election, and the New York Times would have a big story about second, third, and fourth place and fail to mention that I won.
There is an attempt by the media to manage this election, to try to determine the outcome of the election prior to the people casting votes. It’s just another way to try to defeat the public interest and to make of the election a kind of a farce.
You know, all I need is an opportunity to debate Senator Clinton on the war. She has voted for the war. She voted to fund the war. She wants to stay in Iraq through 2013. And, frankly, her positions aren’t much different than Barack Obama’s, John Edwards’s. I mean, when I break into the top three, the whole election changes. And I’m working on that.
I realize I’m a long shot. I don’t have any delusions about that. But I also know that right now democracy is a long shot in America, and I realize that our constitutional protections are kind of a long shot. So I’m willing to take that stand, and I think that the people of New Hampshire are going to have an opportunity to append the political process by voting for my candidacy, which will give them a chance to have a voice and a consistent supporter, not just of peace and workers' rights and healthcare for all, but of the basic constitutional principles that brought us together to form a nation so many years ago.

Humor is precious; however - people may find it hard to laugh when tortured and murdered.
The 'Evil Empire' is upon us people. Wake up before it is too late.
Amy, while we’re still on the air, there’s something I want to mention to you that I think is really important. Last night I was reading the Defense Authorization Bill, and there is a section in the bill that I want to read to you: Section 1615 requires the Secretary of Defense to, one, “determine the military-unique capabilities needed to be provided by the Department of Defense to support civil authorities in an incident of national significance or a catastrophic incident.” And then it goes on to say provide funds to develop a plan. What’s going on in this country? How can we stand by and see our basic liberties undermined?

Now the behind-the-scenes partisan maneuvering that preceded that vote was arcane indeed, with Kucinich first exercising a member’s privilege motion to present his stymied impeachment bill to the full House, only to have Speaker Nancy Pelosi arrange for a colleague (Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-MD) offer a motion to table it. The Republicans, anxious to embarrass the Speaker, threw a wrench into that plan, though, by voting as a bloc to oppose tabling. Since Kucinich already has 22 co-sponsors for his bill, it was clear that the tabling gambit would fail. As soon as that became apparent, rank-and-file Democrats, unwilling to be seen by their constituents as defending Cheney, rushed to change their votes to opposing the tabling motion. In the end, tabling failed by 242 to 170 with 77 Democrats supporting a pleasantly surprised Kucinich.

Impeach Cheney Posters Going Up In All Cities Now

This week at the latest Democratic presidential debate Kucinich was

compelled to make a statement about impeachment, and Blitzer quickly

tried to shut him up. They have time to plant fatuous "diamonds or

pearls" questions, to trivialize our national discourse, but not to

confront the most pressing issue of all. They have time to pick petty

dog and cat fights between the so-called front runners, but not to

talk about the biggest elephants in the room.

Well . . . Kucinich would not shut up about the mandatory urgency of

stopping the current White House constitutional train wreck. The in

studio debate audience roared with approval. And we're not going to

shut up either.

We clearly recognize that what is required now is not just continue

to speak out ourselves, but to dedicate as much energy as possible

into expanding the circle of activism, to reach out to people who are

not already engaged in the impeachment movement.

That is why we are throwing everything we have right now into putting

up 11x17 full color glossy posters on colleges all over the country

with the message, "If They Bomb Iran You Get Drafted". Thanks to your

kind support we have already printed 50,000 of these, with most of

those already shipped out to valiant volunteers to put up on college

campuses, literally all over the country. If you have not already

seen the poster, please go to this page.

Impeach Cheney Posters:

http://www.usalone.com/impeach_cheney_flyer.php

A couple weeks ago, we told you our goal was to distribute 100,000 of

these posters, and we're half way there. With your help, we want to

commit for another 25,000 this week alone. With your help we will get

each and every one of this attention grabbing posters out there

recruiting more and more voices to speak out.

Are you anywhere near a college campus and would you like some

posters to put up yourself? We already have upwards of a thousand

volunteers doing this but we still need more. Just submit the form on

the page above and you can request as you many will actually put out.

Can you make a contribution to help in this initiative? We don't mind

telling you we've dropped nearly $10,000 already at the Post Office

just shipping these posters out all over the country. Can you make a

contribution to help us keep expanding the movement? If so please use

this same page again to do that.

Impeach Cheney Posters:

http://www.usalone.com/impeach_cheney_flyer.php

If you can't make a contribution, that's OK too. Just email us back

and tell us you want to help and we'll send you whatever you need.

In fact, on the same page above, there is also a downloadable

printable pdf of the flyer in 8-1/2 by 11 size, you can print out on

your own printer to use for flyers to hand out, or to start posting

yourself immediately.

Remember, if you make any kind of contribution at all you

automatically get one of the Impeach Cheney? caps we've been handing

out all summer. If you already have one give one to an activist

friend. They make great holiday gifts!

And remember also, a contribution is not required to get an

impeachment cap either. Again, just email us back with a mailing

address and request one for no charge and we will just send you one,

as we've been doing all along.

Encourge Kucinich To Keep Speaking Out

Have you noticed the biggest progressive talk radio stars pushing for

action on impeachment on their shows every day? All this is happening

because of the courageous leadership of Dennis Kucinich in bringing a

privileged resolution the other week, because again, he would not be

silent. Let Dennis know you are with him on the issue of impeachment.

If you can, make a contribution to encourage him to keep the heat on,

all winter if necessary.

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Democratic presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich said Sunday the thinking that went into producing an Army school blamed for human rights abuses in Latin America was the same that led the U.S. to war in Iraq and could cause it to raid Iran.

To my mind, Dennis Kucinich is better suited to represent the people than any of the other candidates in the field. However, the democratic leadership will never permit Kucinich to win the party nomination because he would undermine their authority and threaten the established orthodoxy that controls the system.

Certainly it's possible that proponents of conviction in the Senate would not be able to convince the 16 or 17 Republican necessary to win a conviction and removal from office, but it wouldn't matter at that point. The Bush administration would stand condemned for all time as a gang of criminals and usurpers.

Urge Representative Dennis J. Kucinich to fill out the Political Courage Test

Dennis Kucinich took the test once:

On an attached page, disk, or via email, please explain in a total of 75 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.

We must pass the Medicare for All Act, the only bill in Congress that would guarantee access to medical care for every American. We must also end the war in Iraq and bring the troops home. To that end, I have developed an exit strategy. We must protect Social Security, a sound program, from the political forces engineering a "crisis" in an effort to privatize and gain control of the retirement security of senior citizens.

The California reports said the scientists, acting at the state’s request, had hacked into systems from three of the four largest companies in the business: Diebold Election Systems, Hart InterCivic and Sequoia Voting Systems.

Thousands of their machines in varying setups are in use.

The reports said the investigators had created situations for each system “in which these weaknesses could be exploited to affect the correct recording, reporting and tallying of votes.”

In an interview with Fortune Magazine’s Nina Easton, Dick Cheney conceded that as Halliburton CEO he opposed unilateral sanctions on Iran, even though he now strongly supports them. Cheney explained that as a private sector official, he didn’t have any responsibility to be concerned about the impact of his company’s dealings with Iran:

Q: You opposed unilateral sanctions on Iran when you were CEO of Halliburton.

THE VICE PRESIDENT: I did.

11/28/07 "ICH' --- - As has been consistently reported by the real American news media, the Internet, a vast majority of Americans want the war in Iraq ended, and also want Cheney, the real head of the Executive Branch, along with his puppet, George W. Bush, impeached. It is the belief of this writer that no president in American history is not only more disliked, but is actually more hated by the majority of Americans. The lies that got US into a war of invasion and mass murder of innocent, unarmed people perpetrated under the guise of “bringing them freedom and democracy” is the cruelest of absurdities, and totally un-American.

The congressman from Ohio focused on the theme “Defending the Constitution” during the 90-minute event on New Hampshire public access television and the Internet.

“If you give me your vote, I’ll give you your country back,” he said.

He spoke at length about his desire to protect First Amendment rights and his desire to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney for leading the country to war, a motion that is now sitting in congressional committee. If citizens wanted to help speed up the impeachment process, Mr. Kucinich urged them to contact their member of Congress, the House Judiciary Committee and House leaders.

One member of the audience of about 200 asked him why health care isn’t mandated by the Constitution.

“Well, I just happen to have my copy of the Constitution with me,” Mr. Kucinich replied. He pulled it out from his pocket and read aloud the Preamble — emphasizing the line “promote the general welfare.” Health and welfare are almost synonymous, he said before detailing his plan to make the health care system not for profit. Every American would receive free medical and dental care under his plan.

Public opinion has reached this high level even before Congress has started any impeachment investigation of the Bush-Cheney administration. The public is way ahead of Congress, suggesting that it is time for the U.S. House of Representatives to move forward with the impeachment process.

Democratic presidential hopeful Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) said that he believes the proposed Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act (H.R. 1955/S. 1959) is unconstitutional.

Not surprisingly in a field of eight contenders, no candidate came close to gaining a majority of the total vote in PDA's recently completed presidential straw poll. But two candidates--Dennis Kucinich (41%) and John Edwards (26%)--combined for more than 2/3 of the total vote. Over 15,000 PDA activists voted in the presidential straw poll. Full results here

After Kucinich and Edwards, only one other candidate-Barak Obama (13%)-made it into double digits. All the rest were in single digits: Hillary Clinton (9%), Bill Richardson (5%), Joe Biden (3%), Chris Dodd (1%), Mike Gravel (less than 1%). In contradiction to media reporting on the primary race, PDA's results parallel those of DFA, Daily KOS, the Texas Democratic Party and others whose polls show very weak support for Clinton among the Democratic base.

PIANO WIRE PUPPETEERS:

THE CONSTITUTION, MEDIA & DENNIS KUCINICH

By Sean Penn

It's been an odd week. For me, a particularly odd week. But that's another story. So, wait a minute. Iran DOESN'T have nuclear weapon capability??? So, who are we gonna bomb? I want to bomb somebody! Didn't Senator Clinton just vote in essence to give President Bush the power to bomb Iran? If he had done it last week, would that have made her right? I mean, if she knew then what she knows now? Or am I getting that backward? Golly, I'm confused. And what about President Bush? This week, Vladimir Putin, the man Mr. Bush said he "Looked into the eyes of and found to be very straightforward and trustworthy." So much so, he was "able to get a sense of his soul." Well that soulful fella has just successfully coalesced the most dangerous power base in Russia since the Cold War amid rumors that include allegations he ordered the assassinations of journalists and imprisonment of noted proponents of freedom (Oops).

Meanwhile, our President's great enemy in Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, that "totalitarian," "authoritarian," "dictator," that "mad man run amok," somehow was unsuccessful in his bid for the constitutional reforms that would have allowed him to be repeatedly re-elected for life...Hmmm? Odd week, you know? Really. What happened to Chavez's "strong-arming?" His "electoral corruption?" His alleged "gagging of the press?" How in the hell could he have lost? I'm sorry, did I miss something? How is it that this "Commie bastard" with 80% of his citizens having elected him in the first place was unable to prevail? Could it be that we've been lied to about him? I mean, Pat Robertson's not a liar, is he? His god wouldn't let that happen, would he? And god-forbid, our god would let the right-wing pundits, left-wing corporates, or our own administration send us a bill of goods!? Is it possible, I mean I know it's silly, but is it just a little bit possible that President Chavez is in fact a defender of his people's Constitution? That, that's how his referendum could fail? And that that's why he accepted it with such grace? A constitution which I have read several times. Quite a beautiful document, not dissimilar to our own. You might give it a read. Oh, I forgot -- he's a "drug runner."

Let me share something with you. Late one night in Caracas, I met with a couple of fellas, mercenaries I think you call them. Goddamit, I keep doing that. I mean "contractors." They were Brits, their specialty: drug interdiction. These two were no great fans of Chavez. They called him "radical" and expected him to fall to an assassin's bullet within the year. Like him or not, he had the cash to win their acceptance of his employ. And working alongside the Venezuelan military, these two, based in Caracas, had played the mountainous and jungled border between Columbia and Venezuela. A zone rife with paramilitaries, FARC guerillas, and mer...scratch that, contractors. What I was told that evening in Caracas by these piano wire puppeteers was that they had never worked for a government whose investment in drug interdiction was so genuine. "Yeah," said one of the Brits, "I gotta give the bastard Chavez that."

But I was talking about the Constitution. Most importantly, our own. And what an odd week it has been. Our culture is engrained with a tradition that blurs the line between what is right, what is just and what is constitutional, with what is a scam. That tradition is the cult of personality. What can TV sell, what kind of crap will we buy. And at what point are we buying and selling our rights, our pride, our flag, our children, and succumbing to meaningless slogans that are ultimately pure titles for un-Americanism. How do we know what's American and what is not? Because John Wayne tells us so? Because Sean Penn tells us so? Susan Sarandon? Bill O'Reilly? Michael Moore? Senator Bull? Or Senator Shit? Ann "my bowel expenditure" Coulter? No. It's our Constitution. We don't use it just to win. We depend on it because it's the only "us" worth being. And because it's our children's inheritance from our shared forefathers and the traditions that really do speak best of our country.

So, here's the question. We got Iowa coming up, we got New Hampshire right on its ass. Do we sell it for electability? If Hitler were the only candidate, would voting for him be most American? Jump on a plane with me. Okay, we're over the Middle East now...Let's land. Take a deep breath.

Imagine the bodies, burned and mutilated, the concussive sounds of gunfire and explosives defining the last horrifying moments of the dying and the dead. Imagine the millions of refugees fleeing through the deserts of Iraq, the babies crying, and the stench of death in the air. Yuck. Let's get back on the plane and head home.

Now, imagine American servicemen dead or broken, returning from a broken military to a silent casket or a broken veteran's administration, to broken lives and broken businesses, broken wives, unspoken husbands, and devastated children. And what for? What have we gained? Al-Qaida recruitment is up. Terrorism is up. Quality of life is down in our country and around the world. While the rich continue to get richer and the poor, poorer and more numerous. And on the verge of recession, we are witnessing the dramatic disassembling of the middle class amidst a flood of foreclosures and unpayable debts. To Osama Bin Laden's infinite delight, we have become a country of principle breakers rather than principle bearers. We are torturers and we too often, imprison only the weak. When our own administration chooses its bewilderingly un-American agenda (For the entitled people? By the entitled people?) over the Constitution in defining American values, principles, and law, Bin Laden laughs at the weakened sheep that we and our representatives have become. High crimes and misdemeanors? How about full-blown treason for the outing our own CIA operatives? How about full-blown treason for those who support this administration through media propaganda?

While I'm not a proponent of the Death Penalty, existing law provides that the likes of Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld and Rice, if found guilty, could have hoods thrown over their heads, their hands bound, facing a 12-man rifle corps executing death by firing squad. And our cowardly democratically dominated House and Senate can barely find one voice willing to propose so much as an impeachment. That one voice of a true American. That one voice of Congressman Dennis Kucinich. This is not going to be a sound bite. Not if I can help it. I'm torn. I'm torn between the conventional wisdom of what we all keep being told is electibility and the idealism that perhaps alone can live up to the challenges of our generation. Of the democrats running for President, only Congressman Dennis Kucinich's candidacy is backed by a voting record of moral courage and a history of service to our country that has fully earned our support and our gratitude. And when I say support, I am not speaking to democrats alone, but rather to every American who would take the time on behalf of their children, our planet, and our soldiers to educate themselves on the Kucinich platform.

In the recent debate among Democrats in Las Vegas, the candidates, one after the other, placed security ahead of human rights. Benjamin Franklin once said "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." Then, there was good ole Patrick Henry. Remember him? "Give me liberty, or give me death." These were the real tough bastards. The real John Wayne's. These are the traditions we should be serving. I found the debate infuriating, nearly an argument for fascism with few exceptions, key among them Dennis Kucinich. Of course as a strategic politician, Mrs. Clinton pulled out her set of Ginzu knives and dominated once again on "centrist" political strategy. In fending off attacks upon she, the front runner, she reminded the audience and her fellow candidates, "We are all Democrats." Wolf Blitzer asked each candidate if they would support the other should they themselves not be the nominee. One after another, the answer, yes. One exception: Dennis Kucinich, who with the minimal time allotted him, once again rose up beyond the sound bite and put principal ahead of party; argued policy rather than politeness. He has been the dominant voice of integrity on issues of trade, labor, education, environment, health, civil liberties, and the one endlessly determined voice of peace. But is he too short? Does his haircut not appeal? Is he not loyal enough to a cowardly democratic platform? Does he not appeal to the cult of personality? And what if the answer is yes?

What if Dennis Kucinich, the most deserving and noble of candidates, the most experienced in issues of policy and the least willing to play into the politics of personal power? What if we can't elect a man simply on the basis of the best ideas, the most courage, and the most selfless service? What does it say about our country when we can't rally the voices of the common good to support a man, like our troops, who would die for us, who would die for our constitution? Who, as mayor of Cleveland at the age of 31 stood up against contracts on his life. Three separate assassins whose intent was to kill him as he stood up for his constituency there. Nonetheless, he carries on. He continues to serve. I've been a supporter of Dennis Kucinich for several years. And I've been torn lately. I've been torn by the allure of "electability." I began to invest some support in a very good man (one among Dennis's opponents) who seems to be finding himself as a constitutional defender, but he's not one yet. He is however, among those that we allow the media to distinguish as electable. But we're talking about the Constitution here. We're talking about our country. I have decided not to participate in proactive support on the basis of media distinctions. I have chosen to pledge my support to the singular, strongest and most proven representative of our constitutional mandate. Dennis Kucinich offers us a very singular opportunity as we share this minute of time on earth. We, the people. It is for us to determine what is electable. And here's how simple it is: If we, those of us who truly believe in the Constitution of the United States of America, all of us, vote for Dennis Kucinich, he will be elected. Could we call him electable then? If so, America will stand taller than ever.

Let's remind our friends in the social circles of New York and the highbrow winner-friendly and monied major cities that support Mrs. Clinton, that this is not Bill Clinton. For all the misgivings I have about our former President, he raised up friends and opposition alike, his great gift as a motivator of interest and activism, of self-education and participation was, on its own merits, a unique gift. But don't underestimate personal agendas, those that initiated NAFTA, betrayed Haitian refugees and gay rights in the military within a minute of his own election. Don't underestimate that part of him when he gives his wife the face of his talent. Don't underestimate the damage her poisonous ambition can do to this country. We can't wait for the benefit of hindsight to service the benefit of Mrs. Clinton's career. Let's raise up men and women of vision, of integrity, of belief in our principles. How exciting would that be to do? How good would that be for television? What if we turned this game around? Imagine watching on television, our country raising up a leader because he represents our Constitution. Yes, good things can be good TV. So, let's give the Constitution another read, shall we? And then decide who its greatest defender would be. I suggest that Republicans, Independents, and Democrats alike will find that they know what's really right in their hearts and minds.

In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA's overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

"The briefer was specifically asked if the methods were tough enough," said a U.S. official who witnessed the exchange.

Congressional leaders from both parties would later seize on waterboarding as a symbol of the worst excesses of the Bush administration's counterterrorism effort. The CIA last week admitted that videotape of an interrogation of one of the waterboarded detainees was destroyed in 2005 against the advice of Justice Department and White House officials, provoking allegations that its actions were illegal and the destruction was a coverup.

Yet long before "waterboarding" entered the public discourse, the CIA gave key legislative overseers about 30 private briefings, some of which included descriptions of that technique and other harsh interrogation methods, according to interviews with multiple U.S. officials with firsthand knowledge.

With one known exception, no formal objections were raised by the lawmakers briefed about the harsh methods during the two years in which waterboarding was employed, from 2002 to 2003, said Democrats and Republicans with direct knowledge of the matter. The lawmakers who held oversight roles during the period included Pelosi and Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) and Sens. Bob Graham (D-Fla.) and John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.), as well as Rep. Porter J. Goss (R-Fla.) and Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan).

Individual lawmakers' recollections of the early briefings varied dramatically, but officials present during the meetings described the reaction as mostly quiet acquiescence, if not outright support. "Among those being briefed, there was a pretty full understanding of what the CIA was doing," said Goss, who chaired the House intelligence committee from 1997 to 2004 and then served as CIA director from 2004 to 2006. "And the reaction in the room was not just approval, but encouragement."

http://powerofnarrative.blogspot.com/2007/02/ha-ha-funny-torture-jokes.html

The Center for American Progress has just launched an advertising campaign called "Torture is not US." The hard truth is that for at least five decades it has been. But it doesn't have to be.

NOTE: Arthur Sibler also wrote:

The leading Democratic presidential contenders have said they reject torture as an official instrument of government policy. In the context of the actions of the Democratic Congress, such claims are contemptibly meaningless:

By 'excluding' the public from 'news' about Dennis Kucinich's IMPEACHMENT proceedings, by 'blocking' the flow of information about THAT FACT, what is Aurthur Sibler guilty of promoting?

By 'excluding' the public from 'news' about Dennis Kucinich's IMPEACHMENT proceedings, by 'blocking' the flow of information about THAT FACT, what is Aurthur Sibler guilty of promoting?

This is a very important question.

Why ‘play politics’ when the end of the human species is at stake? If a person or a group of people are suspected (actually confess) of torture and mass murder, then, is it ‘RIGHT’ to discredit (by ignoring it) the exercise of POWER aimed toward accurately accounting for the actual people ordering and managing the torture and mass murder?

This is my same question to any ‘republican’ (Ron Paul for example) who has FAILED to support the POWER TO IMPEACH:

TORTURING MASS MURDERERS

Edit to add:

WHILE THEY ARE TORTURNING AND MASS MURDERING

OK, soooooo, if you were on the rack and if YOU were watching as all your loved ones were being murdered slowly, then, would you SUPPORT IMPEACHMENT?

I think Bush and Cheney should be impeached. Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich has a new strategy for this to happen. If just one state House and Senate pass together a Resolution for Impeachment, the U.S. Congress will be forced to set aside all other business and deal with impeachment. This is according to the Thomas Jefferson Manual on Impeachment. I think Vermont is the best place for this to happen, but Vermonters need to speak out.

(I have always supported Dennis Kucinich, whenever possible but after the 2004 Convention and his failure to stand up at the Convention against the war and support the peace activists who were hauled off the convention floor, with their anti-war signs, and given his inability to run a strong campaign, I can no longer back him. I do respect his positions on many issues.)

Did Dennis Kucinich Sell Out Anti-War Democrats?

by Amy Goodman

 Is that relevant?

How about a change on the search:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=2004+convention+Dennis+Kucinich+anti-war+riot

I took out 'police' and added 'riot'.

http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0724-01.htm

Some people fear that antiwar protesters will blow it and undermine the "Dump Bush" effort, which they view as the overwhelming priority. Others are angry that a powerful liberal advocacy group, MoveOn.org, is playing an active supporting role for the Kerry campaign. To them, "giving the Democrats a pass" means not staging convention protests despite the fact that Kerry and many other Democratic lawmakers voted in favor of the resolution for the war in Iraq and helped to overwhelmingly pass the Patriot Act after the Sept. 11 attacks. There is talk that "progressive" delegates will stage a surprise antiwar action on the convention.

http://www.socialistworker.org/2004-2/508/508_04_DNC.shtml

NO MATTER how unlikely his chances, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) refused to the very end to abandon his liberal campaign for the Democratic Party presidential nomination. Even after John Kerry had the nomination locked up, Kucinich kept running--"to give people an opportunity to voice their concerns," he said.

As Kucinich told an audience during a panel discussion on the antiwar movement at the Boston Social Forum last month, "I ran for president as a Democrat to bring these principles into the party." Fine words. Only when he said them, Kucinich had abandoned his campaign and endorsed Kerry--and given up on any attempt to get a call for a definite withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq into the party platform. Following the time-honored tradition of liberal Democrats who fail to win the party’s presidential nomination, Kucinich fell in line behind the more conservative nominee.

He even had the gall to attack independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader. "It’s entirely consistent for Democrats to choose someone who they feel has the best chance of defeating George Bush and, simultaneously at the grassroots, support the principles that my campaign was about," Kucinich explained. But it’s not consistent at all.

Kucinich proved that when he gave up on the fight he promised to make to get a set date for U.S. withdrawal from Iraq written into the Democrats’ platform. Under pressure from Kerry’s operatives, Kucinich told his supporters on the platform committee to back down. Outrageously, the plank adopted by the committee says that "people of good will disagree about whether America should have gone to war in Iraq."

See this?

Why are the "NEWS" people hired by Corporate Television (Mass Media) asking Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich if they will support their 'party' 'when' they fail to gain the 'party' nomination?

What is the fetish concerning this angle?

It is based upon this:

http://www.ushistory.org/paine/commonsense/

Here:

For were the impulses of conscience clear, uniform and irresistibly obeyed, man would need no other lawgiver; but that not being the case, he finds it necessary to surrender up a part of his property to furnish means for the protection of the rest; and this he is induced to do by the same prudence which in every other case advises him, out of two evils to choose the least.

And here, again, is the failure to invent the better of two best goods. The POWER of falsehood hides good things - on purpose.

That POWER is criminal by nature, by definition, by action, and deed.

We do not have to become that which we despise, abhor, and cannot stand or tolerate morally, economically, and logically.

We can return civility to civilization and this is as simple as flipping on a light switch in a dark room once the POWER is ours to command. This is as simple as day is simply not night.

Here's Gorman's money passage, just dropped into the middle of the piece without further explanation or discussion: "One former official said interrogators' faces were visible on at least one video, as were those of more senior officers who happened to be visiting." Happened? Visiting? Keep in mind that we're talking about CIA officials in a torture chamber, not tourists at a local landmark.

When torturing mass murderers ARE torturing and mass murdering, then, people are being tortured and murdered.

What is the problem?

It must be falsehood.

There is no other explanation. The emperor is torturing and mass murdering. I, you, we are next on the list.

The falsehood can be expressed simply as:

Pay or Suffer

The falsehood suggests that there are only two choices when if fact the falsehood removes choice.

Pay and Suffer

or

Punishment

That is the view from a current victim of falsehood. If the potential victim recognizes the falsehood, then, the potential victim can choose from another set of choices such as:

Either you are with us; or you are a terrorist.

or

Torture or be tortured and murder or be murdered.

There is liberty.

Liberty is when a person finds the better of two goods.

Falsehood imposes the least of two evils; assuming that the intent is good.

Falsehood generates the most effective evil - on purpose.

Wexler said he has been “astonished” by the outpouring of support — over 100,000 have signed up in five days. He said he plans to write a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) in early January, asking him to begin start impeachment hearings.

“This is not the lunatic fringe — this is mainstream America,” Wexler said. These are “people that believe in the very patriotic vision, and they’re all very upset about what they see as the abuse of power by this administration and the failure of Congress to hold them accountable.”

Some people argue that the Judiciary Committee cannot proceed with impeachment hearings because it would distract Congress from passing important legislative initiatives. We disagree.

Kucinich 'Comes Closest to Embodying the Ideals' of The Nation

Edit: No mention of Mike Gravel? Why exclude Mike Gravel?

Hint: When the term 'leading candidates' is evoked, then, think 'torturing mass murderer' and 'war profits'. It may make more sense. This is going to be an interesting election as time goes by and the 'leading' candidates face up to their honest interests.

Cheney Impeachment - Mainstream Media Wakes Up

I don't like the title as the word use suggests that Mainstream Media was asleep. It is impossible to not know something known. It is possible to ignore on purpose. It can be very profitable to falsify on purpose - at the expense of the dupes.

Note: Suppose the whole cabal of neo-cons are found guilty of torture, mass murder, and lesser crimes and suppose they are all sent to Iran to escape the American prison system of injustice. Would they recieve justice by an impartial judge?

How about Iraq; it is only one letter difference?

A group in Brattleboro is petitioning to put an item on a town meeting agenda in March that would make Bush and Vice President Cheney subject to arrest and indictment if they visit the southeastern Vermont community.

"This petition is as radical as the Declaration of Independence, and it draws on that tradition in claiming a universal jurisdiction when governments fail to do what they're supposed to do," said Kurt Daims, 54, a retired machinist leading the drive.

As president, Bush has visited every state except Vermont.

A House Resolution to impeach U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney, Dennis Kucinich's H.R. 799, is gathering more support. The national impeachment continues to grow and generate increasing interest since being referred to the House Judiciary Committee last month, a Kucinich spokesperson said.

ALLAN NAIRN: Well, fundamentally, there’s no difference on the basic principle of, are you against the killing of civilians and are you willing to enforce the murder laws. If we were willing to enforce the murder laws, the headquarters of each of these candidates could be raided, and various advisers and many candidates could be hauled away by the cops, because they have backed various actions that, under established principles like the Nuremberg Principles, like the principles set up in the Rwanda tribunals, the Bosnia tribunals, things that are unacceptable, like aggressive war, like the killing of civilians for political purposes. So, in a basic sense, there is no choice.

I mean, Kucinich, who has good positions on many of these issues, he’s decided to throw in his lot with Obama.

Help America hear from a real democrat

It's happening again ... They're excluding Dennis Kucinich from tomorrow's debate!

ABC News announced today that Dennis Kucinich will not be allowed to participate in tomorrow's nationally televised debate from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire.

The Democratic Debate tomorrow is about figuring out what real Democrats care about. Real Democrats want to vote for someone who:

- has opposed the Iraq War from the beginning
- has defended the Constitution from the Bush Administration
- will give our country single payer not-for-profit health care.
Mainstream America needs to hear about the one real Democrat -
Dennis Kucinich.

Tomorrow, during the debate, we want to air a message from Dennis Kucinich as a paid advertisement.  To do that, we need your support to purchase an advertisement during the debate.

Click here to see the ad.

Please contribute $25, $50, $100, or any amount you can so we can air our commercial during Saturday's Debate.

Together, we can overcome the media blockade.

Together, we can let mainstream America hear the message of the one real Democrat Dennis Kucinich.

Peace through Strength
The Kucinich Campaign

PS. You can tune in to the debate tomorrow at 7pm EST (see local listings) on ABC News for the debate to see Dennis' message.

Dear Joe

Last night, I took to the floor of the House of Representatives and outlined our case as to why this Congress must hold immediate hearings on Rep. Kucinich’s Articles of Impeachment.

I didn’t do it alone: I was armed with nearly 200,000 signatures of support from you and so many others.  Please watch the video of this speech and forward it to as many people as possible.  I've posted it on the front page of http://www.WexlerWantsHearings.com

Why? Yucca Mountain is most notable as the site of the proposed Yucca Mountain Repository, a U.S. Department of Energy terminal storage facility for spent nuclear reactor fuel and other radioactive waste. That has environmental groups worried and the site, which was suppose to open in 1998 to store nuclear waste, and has delayed opening the facility till more tests are done at the site. The site is considered the most studied piece of geology in the world.

So why does this matter? Congressman Dennis Kucinich is the only Presidential contender to have voted against using the proposed site and General Electric, which owns NBC and MSNBC who ran the debate yesterday, didn't want his take on the whole mess that the United States Government is brewing.

Impeachment hearings against Cheney would not only fulfill the Constitution's command that high officials who commit high crimes and misdemeanors be brought to justice. It would also deter the vice president from committing additional crimes that threaten the national security of the United States.

Any impeachment proceeding would have to start in the House Judiciary Committee. The nine Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee who favor impeachment hearings are: Robert Wexler, Fla.; Luis Gutierrez, Ill.; Anthony Weiner, N.Y.; Tammy Baldwin, Wis.; Sheila Jackson Lee, Texas; Steve Cohen, Tenn.; Keith Ellison, Minn.; Maxine Waters, Calif.; and Hank Johnson, Ga.

Here is a list of the entire House Judiciary Committee: http://judiciary.house.gov/CommitteeMembership.aspx. For information about the campaign to impeach Dick Cheney, see http://impeachcheney.org.

http://www.constitution.org/tp/comsense.htm

Some writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.

Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its best state is but a necessary evil in its worst state an intolerable one; for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same miseries by a government, which we might expect in a country without government, our calamities is heightened by reflecting that we furnish the means by which we suffer! Government, like dress, is the badge of lost innocence; the palaces of kings are built on the ruins of the bowers of paradise. For were the impulses of conscience clear, uniform, and irresistibly obeyed, man would need no other lawgiver; but that not being the case, he finds it necessary to surrender up a part of his property to furnish means for the protection of the rest; and this he is induced to do by the same prudence which in every other case advises him out of two evils to choose the least. Wherefore, security being the true design and end of government, it unanswerably follows that whatever form thereof appears most likely to ensure it to us, with the least expense and greatest benefit, is preferable to all others.

Before the Nevada primary, [Presidential candidate] Dennis [Kucinich] was visited by representatives of Nancy Pelosi and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee — AIPAC. They told Dennis that if he would drop his campaigns to impeach Cheney and Bush, they would guarantee his re-election to the House of Representatives.

Kucinich threw them out of his office.

Nadler Disses Voters on Impeachment

By Ray McGovern

11/03/08 "ICH" -- -- You would not know it for the news blackout, but New Yorkers of Congressman Jerrold Nadler’s district held a Town Hall/Impeachment Forum on Sunday to encourage Nadler, chair of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, to begin impeachment proceedings against Vice President Dick Cheney.

There is no question that Cheney violated his oath of office, which bound him to support and defend a Constitution that he disregarded.

The question is: How will responsible Americans respond?

The power to hold Cheney to account rests with Congress.

The power to get Congress to act rests with the American people.

Speaking at Imperial College in London Mahathir, who was in office from 1981 to 2003, singled out US President George Bush, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Australia’s former prime minister John Howard as he wants to see them tried “in absence for war crimes committed in Iraq”.

The event was organised by the Ramadhan Foundation which is a leading British Muslim youth organisation working for peaceful co-existence and dialogue between communities.

Based on prior subcommittee hearings, the House Judiciary Committee knows well that the checks and balances of the Constitution do not work when the Executive Branch has made itself preeminent among its co-equals, and made a mockery of the separation of powers, as Bush and Cheney have done.

URGENT: need your help -
Impeachment Petition Deadline Midnight Wednesday

Dear Friends,

Because of your vigilance and support for democracy, last Friday was a day of singular importance in Washington. The House Judiciary Committee met to discuss the Bush Administration's abuse of executive power and for the first time the case for Impeachment was discussed in front of a Congressional committee, in depth, at length and with authority.

Twenty members of the Judiciary Committee attended the six hour hearing, during which twelve witnesses, including myself and four members of Congress testified. In this hearing I called for the Impeachment of the President for misrepresenting a case for war.

This week I will present members of Congress with Impeachment petitions submitted by those of you who have signed the on-line impeachment form.

I need your help. In the next few days we must redouble our efforts to get more signatures on the online petition at kucinich.us. I'm asking each of you to please contact at least ten of your friends to go to http://www.Kucinich.us now and sign the Impeachment petition that will be delivered by me. Wednesday night is the deadline.

Please send out an email to all your friends and family, post this link, http://kucinich.us to your blogs and make this effort count as this is the only petition that I will deliver.

Thank you so very much.

Dennis

It was no coincidence that shortly before Pelosi’s backdown, peace activist and Gold Star mother Cindy Sheehan announced that her campaign had collected well over the 10,000 signatures necessary to qualify for listing on the ballot as an independent candidate for Congress against Pelosi in the Speaker’s home district in San Francisco. Sheehan has been an outspoken advocate of impeaching both Bush and Cheney. “Pelosi is trying to throw a bone to her constituents by allowing a hearing on impeachment,” said Sheehan, who came to Washington, DC to attend. “It’s just like her finally stating publicly that Bush’s presidency is a failure—something it has taken her two years to come to, but which we’ve been saying for years.”

Last week, Congressman Dennis Kucinich delivered a petition bearing more than 100,000 names to the Speaker of the House urging that impeachment proceedings begin into the conduct of President Bush. In a special video message (click here), Dennis is asking for your help to deliver an even more powerful message to Congress when it reconvenes in September.

With new disclosures that the Administration tried to "cook the books at the CIA" by creating a phony, forged link between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein, "We cannot step back and let this President escape accountability."

“Today we journey from Operation Cast Lead to Operation Cast Doubt. Almost as serious as committing war crimes is covering up war crimes, pretending that war crimes were never committed and did not exist.

“Because behind every such deception is the nullification of humanity, the destruction of human dignity, the annihilation of the human spirit, the triumph of Orwellian thinking, the eternal prison of the dark heart of the totalitarian.

“The resolution before us today, which would reject all attempts of the Goldstone Report to fix responsibility of all parties to war crimes, including both Hamas and Israel, may as well be called the “Down is Up, Night is Day, Wrong is Right” resolution.

“Because if this Congress votes to condemn a report it has not read, concerning events it has totally ignored, about violations of law of which it is unaware, it will have brought shame to this great institution.

“How can we ever expect there to be peace in the Middle East if we tacitly approve of violations of international law and international human rights, if we look the other way, or if we close our eyes to the heartbreak of people on both sides by white-washing a legitimate investigation?

“How can we protect the people of Israel from existential threats if we hold no concern for the protection of the Palestinians, for their physical security, their right to land, their right to their own homes, their right to water, their right to sustenance, their right to freedom of movement, their right to the human security of jobs, education and health care?

“We will have peace only when the plight of both Palestinians and Israelis is brought before this House and given equal consideration in recognition of that principle that all people on this planet have a right to survive and thrive, and it is our responsibility, our duty to see that no individual, no group, no people are barred from this humble human claim.”

The Pentagon doesn't want Congress to debate Afghanistan. The Pentagon wants Congress to fork over $33 billion more to pay for the current military escalation, no questions asked, no restrictions imposed for a withdrawal timetable or an exit strategy.

An ardent proponent of a single-payer or Medicare-for-all system, Kucinich reiterated his view that the current template offers private insurers "a version of a bailout" and predicted they'll continue "socking it to consumers."

"I told the president twice in two different meetings that I couldn't support the bill if it didn't have a robust public option and at least if it didn't have something that was going to protect consumers from these rampant premium increases," he added.

How much did the vote cost?

What was the price?

Speaking before Congress, Kucinich raised the specter of the $12 billion shipped in pallets from the United States to Iraq just after the Bush administration's "shock and awe" bombing campaign.

"Vanity Fair reported in 2004 that 'at least $9 billion' of the cash had 'gone missing, unaccounted for,'" he noted. "$9 billion."

Kucinich continued: "

Last week, the BBC reported that 'the US military has been giving tens of millions of dollars to Afghan security firms who are funneling the money to warlords.' Add to that a corrupt Afghan government underwritten by the lives of our troops
... And now reports indicate that Congress is preparing to attach $10 billion in state education funding to a $33 billion spending bill to keep the war going.

Back home, millions of Americans are out of work, losing their homes, losing their savings, their pensions and their retirement security.

"We are losing our nation to lies about the necessity of war. Bring our troops home. End the war. Secure our economy."

The bill would require the president to submit to the Intelligence Committees a report "on the identity of each United States citizen that is on the list of the Joint Special Operations Command or the Central Intelligence Agency as `high value individuals' or `high value targets'."

Accelerating transfers

There is a massive transfer of wealth from the American people to the hands of a few and it's going on right now as America’s eyes are misdirected to the political theater of these histrionic debt negotiations, threats to shut down the government, and willingness to make the most Americans pay dearly for debts they did not create.

Drones

Drone attacks can only serve to undermine our moral standing in the world, and foment anger and resentment toward the United States.

End War

The leading donor nations of Nato – the US, France and Great Britain – have been free to prosecute war under the cloak of this faceless, bureaucratic, alphabet security agency, now multinational war machine, which can violate UN resolutions and kill innocent civilians with impunity. War crimes trials are only for losers. The prospective conquerors, the western powers and their rebel proxies, will then expect to be able to assert control over Libya's vast oil and natural gas reserves.

Regime Change

One conclusion could be that the reasons for the March 2011 attack were bogus.
