Example: Identify by trial the person's ressponsible for the unprovoked invasion of Iraq that continues to torture and murder massive numbers of innocent people INCLUDING members of the U.S. Military force who may be needed in defense against aggressive invaders intent upon torture and mass murder. People, ohhhhh people, it is past time to account here and how about trying to be accurate about it - huh?

That indicates the strength of constituent pressure in opposition to the leadership's position. The resolution is back in the same committee but with more momentum now. The media is more aware. The public is more aware. Congressman Kucinich is fired up and ready to introduce new resolutions on both Cheney and Bush. Congress heard from the public in massive numbers - the phones on the hill were jammed. And the public is energized. The intense lobbying that a day like this one inspires may combine with the polling results to begin to open the Democratic leadership's eyes to the electoral danger of not backing impeachment. Do you see that? Ron Paul is voting no for 'tabling' the resolution which opens a window of 'debate' on the resolution. This is censorship. This is business as usual. Power politics; hide, deceive, cover-up, apologize, and render the people powerless. What is the harm in coming out of the closet? I was immediately regaled-inindated by a litany of Rep Pauls past votes against the war etc etc. I asked again the same question. he finally said he wasn't sure if Paul would vote, but that if he did it would be against it, because the bill was 'flawed'. I said that I was aware of the futility and shortcomings, but that at this stage of the game it was important that a STRONG message be sent, one that said 'ignore this at your own peril'. The pencil-neck then informed me that I obviously was ignorant of the great things Paul had done in the past, and asked again where I was calling from and didn't I didn't understand that the Bill addressed the wrong person. I took a deep breath and asked him if Paul didn't consider Cheney the main architect and plan manager of the Iraq war? The geek went right back to the first script he read.
