Today, it was very clear during a rare tour of the company’s Palo Alto, Calif. headquarters, complete with factory and lab space, that the company, flush with its IPO proceeds, is spending a whole lot of money ramping up staff and developing the next-generation technology for its EV sedan the Model S, in order to achieve one major goal: cross the chasm from Valley startup into competing on the mainstream big auto stage.

This is how Brian and Ilsa—and the millions of other homeowners with mortgages, not just people being foreclosed upon—could wind up with their house scot-free, while the banks—and the Mortgage Backed Security holders—would be left eating the losses.

http://www.leftlanenews.com/bmw-ceo-electric-vehicles-wont-be-profitable-at-launch.html

Most NEWS is at best half true, and the remaining half is hidden, and the remaining half is false - false advertisement.

False advertisement is a euphemism for lying, or deceit, or fraud, or crime. Euphemism is a euphemism for the same thing - lying - covering up the whole truth. Why not make the job of communication easy by making words accurate? The true answer, without covering up anything, is that the purpose of language includes the purpose of lying.

The link above is another NEWS item concerning the Electric Car inevitability. I call it an inevitability because breathing air is inevitable, and because sun light is inevitable, and because burning your hand is inevitable if you stick you hand in the fire, and even because going blind is inevitable if you look directly at the sun.

Right now the cost of propelling an Electric car is advertised at 2 cents per mile and that number is based upon current prices of electricity from current electric "companies".

A previous NEWS item I sent warns people, WARNING it says, about the doubling or tripling of the price of oil when China and The FED start their trade wars - involving the oil in Iraq, Iran, etc.

Right now the cost of propelling a gasoline powered car, in American, is conservatively at 10 cents per mile using a fuel efficient car and current gasoline prices.

2 cents per mile compared to 10 cents per mile is a savings of 80 percent, and that isn't the whole story as to why electric cars are inevitable.

Currently a person in a sunny clime like S Ca can cut down their costs for electricity with one phone call to any one of a number of Solar Panel companies whereby said company installs Solar Panels on your home, so that you make your own electricity, and the Solar Panel company guarantees that you will pay less per month for electricity - one phone call sets the ball in motion.

As dire threats of increasing costs for gasoline loom on the horizon the cost of generating your own home grown electricity fall, almost free fall considering the exponential rate of growth in home grown electricity.

As "making electricity at home" gains currency, like the hula hoop gained currency, or like a youtube video goes viral, as the number of "customers" increase exponentially, the price per unit drops. This is a well known phenomenon - think in terms of how much a home computer cost now compared to the price 20 years ago.

Don't be left holding the bag - or a gasoline powered car 10 years from now, it will be worth less.

When reading NEWS about the Electric car please note something that may seem strange to you, but not strange to me, whereby NEWS of Asian made cars (where the BAIL OUT money went) tends to be positive, and NEWS of American made electric cars don't exist, or if you do see a minuscule report about American made electric cars the news is negative or marginalized.

I can explain why but most people are trained not to believe in any "conspiracy theories", and most people believe that airplanes took down 3 buildings in New York in 911. Most people won't stick their hands in a fire or look at the sun, I assume.

Well, someone has. The Nissan Leaf will hit the pavement this December, followed soon by a massive roll-out of electric charging stations – according to Nissan. (Some of these stations in California are already being retrofitted and a few have popped up elsewhere.) Nissan says 20,000 people have already pre-ordered this first-to-market, all-electric hatchback. But is it really worth all the fuss?

Some other figures to remember: The Leaf's yearly electricity costs are estimated at $561, which is around $300 less than the Prius. For those already prepping that down payment, Nissan notes that the car's Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $32,780. That figure could plummet to as low as $25,280, depending on the level of luxury added on to the purchase.

http://www.allcarselectric.com/blog/1051978_move-over-think-mitsubishi-i-highest-selling-electric-car-for-now

A few months ago we reported that the diminutive Think City had snatched the top spot as the world’s best-selling city EV with over 2,500 vehicles now on the road.

But that claim is now dwarfed by Mitsubishi, which last week celebrated the 5,000th i-Miev electric car to roll off its Japanese production line - and it hasn’t even started to sell the car in Europe or North America.

Nissan is now in full production of its 2011 Leaf, which is bigger, faster, more feature-filled and even goes further than the Mitsubishi i.  The Leaf also has a staged worldwide rollout which is due to commence very soon.

And
with 20,000 pre-orders on the books, Nissan looks to be ready to snatch the title from Mitsubishi very shortly, although that accolade depends on all of the Nissan reservations being

http://pda.physorg.com/news/2010-12-nuclear-fission.html

(PhysOrg.com) -- Nuclear fission, or the splitting of a heavy nucleus, usually results in symmetrical fragments of the same mass. Physicists attribute the few known examples of fission that is asymmetric to the formation in the resultant fragments of "magic" nuclei, which are extremely stable nuclei with all energy levels filled. Now, experiments at the European particle physics laboratory at the Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) near Geneva in Switzerland have found the isotope mercury-180 splits asymmetrically into ruthenium-100 and krypton-80 rather than the expected zirconium-90.

http://gizmodo.com/5709630/what-is-loic

LOIC ("Low Orbit Ion Cannon") is an application developed by 4Chan-affiliated hackers designed to—when used en masse by thousands of anonymous users—launch Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on websites. Like Visa.com and Mastercard.com, for instance.

It's a pushbutton application...
The idea behind LOIC is that it can allow you to participate in attacks even if you've no clue how to hack. Just download a copy of LOIC (available for Windows, Mac, and Linux!), punch in the target information like a URL or an IP address and zap.
