The following is my e-mail challenge sent at 5:54 PST Jan 4, 06 to:

Eric Margolis,

Are you up for a Challenge?

After reading your words published on the Lew. Rockwell site I have concluded that you will be my second choice to challenge debating a topic that is common to all living organisms – Power Independence.

Your words are here:

http://www.lewrockwell.com/margolis/margolis10.html

My inspiration to challenge you concerns these specific words:

“2005 saw the opening salvos of the world struggle for energy.” (Eric Margolis, January 4, 2006)

Few people have connected the dots to arrive at a future concern for this:

So it seems that 2006 will be a year of rising international political and economic tensions, played against the backdrop of a surging China and a weakening United States. In short, a year of living dangerously.” (Eric Margolis, January 4, 2006)

and this:

“The far right of the Republican Party seems determined to put the US on a military confrontation with China, a potential conflict that the US cannot possibly win.” (Eric Margolis, January 4, 2006)

Few people publicly report this concern.

Since you have this concern, since you have publicly reported this concern, and since I share this concern – I challenge you to a public debate.

My opening salvo is to direct the curious, the concerned, and specifically the optimistic to the following web site to focus interest toward improvement; toward power independence.

http://hytechapps.com/index.html

The above is a reference. The challenge of this current effort is to debate how dangerous this year will become.

Free people can take a less dangerous path and remain power independent. While other people fight against each other over a limited supply of power – some people can work together toward the exponential growth of unlimited power.

Focusing attention on the bad road ahead while ignoring the better road can be a self-defeating blinding power – self-fulfilling prophecy.

In closing this opening statement:

Will the road ahead be a record year for new energy production and if not, then, why not?

Solar panels, Wind Generators, and Hydrogen generators are rapidly becoming cheaper and more efficient. The Nation that produces more new energy sooner will be more powerful and less dependent.
