Then the president will speak on national television. He will say this: Iran is determined to develop nuclear weapons; if this happens, the entire region will go nuclear; our diplomatic efforts to prevent this have failed; Iran is offering a haven to known al Qaeda leaders; the fate of our ally Israel is at stake; Iran persists in supporting terrorism, including in Iraq; and sanctions will have no affect (and besides they are for sissies). He will not say: ...and besides, we need the oil.
"We" need the oil like a hole in the head (or a release of radioactive fallout).
The power to control the flow of energy (including oil) is the power inspiring war.
The power to monopolize the counterfeiting of money is the power at stake. Oil simply backs the currenty money monopoly and military might secures the power to control the flow of oil.
If 'we' needed the flow of oil to increase, then, 'we' can increase the flow of oil no?
According to the facts: the flow of oil is manipulated at will to achieve the desired results i.e. maintain the flow of wealth from the many to the few through the monopoly control of currency.
I put this in the Debate section because it needs to be in the debate section even though it is BAD NEWS. Finding out how to avoid the BAD NEWS requires some care in discussing the realities and the practical options in reality rather than focusing on the fantasies imagined into existence as a result of behavioral modification.
