And what of the Hopkinton Straw Poll in New Hampshire? What’s that? You never heard of the Hopkinton Straw Poll?

Ron Paul wins straw poll at 9th Annual CNHT Picnic

AND:

New Hampshire | Live Free or Die

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ames,_Iowa

During every August in which the Republican presidential nomination is undecided (meaning there is no incumbent Republican president -- as in, most recently, 2007, 1999, 1995 and 1987), the town plays host to the Ames straw poll, which gauges support for the various Republican candidates amongst attendees of a fundraising dinner benefiting the Iowa Republican Party. The straw poll dates back to 1979, and is frequently seen as a first test of organizational strength in Iowa by the national media and party insiders; as such, it can be very beneficial for a candidate to win the straw poll and thus enhance his aura of inevitability or show off a superior field operation.

I predict Ron Paul will win the straw poll, because his views are shared by most Americans. Ron Paul has clearly won the last 2 Republican debates, despite getting such little attention from major news networks. I think Gulliani and McCain are pulling out of the straw poll so they won’t be embarrassed when Ron Paul wins, and so they can discredit the results of the poll.

We need your help!

Coming off the great success of the Rally for Life and Liberty in Des Moines last Saturday, we now need to keep the momentum going with a victory at the Straw Poll in Ames on August 11th.

It’s time to convert our internet energy into real political power.

We need you to be there. We need you to bring your family and friends.

Thousands of Iowans need to vote in the Straw Poll for Dr. Paul. And thousands more need to come from around the country to participate and volunteer at the event.

Our success in this event will catapult Congressman Paul into the national spotlight.

This need is urgent.

I need you to RSVP right now so we know who’s coming. Please do it right now.

Strange Bedfellows

By Cindy Sheehan

I put this here just in case Cindy Sheehan runs for president. I might actually vote if so.

It is not a difficult concept.
There must be an underlying shady reason that Speaker Pelosi took impeachment off the table. Her office stated the other day that she will not put the issue back on the table because she is focused on "ending the war." The statement would be laughable if it weren't for the fact that she is using a neo-con strategy of saying the exact opposite of what is true.

Statistics and propaganda are words that intend to describe something. Please read the above and imagine what statistics and propaganda would be in a world where it cost too much to tell lies.

You may have to use your imagination.

After the first three debates on National television, three mainstream news channels featured polls asking the American people who won. After the first debate on May 3rd, MSNBC ran a poll obtaining over 72,000 responses showing Ron Paul was the most convincing candidate receiving 45% of the vote. His nearest competitor was Mitt Romney who received 18%. Fox news ran its own poll after the second debates on May 15, and with over 40,000 votes Ron Paul came in second with 25% of the vote. Watching Sean Hannity's face was priceless as while he was saying that Ron Paul's chances were over in this election, Fox's polling numbers flashed across the screen and had Ron Paul in the lead. He immediately did his best spin to claim the polls had been rigged. MSNBC also ran a poll about that debate and discovered Ron Paul was, again, the most convincing candidate with 64% of the over 25,000 responses. After the third debate on June 5, CNN's poll of over 25,000 respondents showed Ron Paul won with 60% of the vote.

Anyone using poll results as a means to prove or disprove a candidate's chances next fall is revealing an agenda.

State-sanctioned teams of computer hackers were able to break through the security of virtually every model of California's voting machines and change results or take control of some of the systems' electronic functions, according to a University of California study released Friday.

Imagine what the Independent hackers are able to accomplish?

Texas congressman Ron Paul defeated fellow Presidential hopefuls Giuliani, McCain and Romney at the Georgetown County Straw Poll yesterday. Paul placed second after unofficial candidate Fred Thompson despite being the predicted victor.

Keeping these facts in mind, we must ask ourselves a simple question: If the oligarchy was willing to behave this way to protect its often marginal interests, what would it do to stop a devastating assault on its very existence?

The attack on Ron Paul’s candidacy will begin in earnest when it appears he has an even remote possibility of winning. It will follow a fairly predictable path:

Stand up or get the hell out of the way.

Your agency's review only partially examines the risks of inside manipulation with these systems. Procedural remedies can be circumvented by those with some level of inside access: roving technicians, programmers, and the IT staff of local elections jurisdictions. In fact, we would contend that the most high risk scenario of all is that of inside manipulation, and we would also contend that the systems used in California cannot be secured from inside tampering, leaving the citizenry of California in the inappropriate position of being forced to trust the government to count their votes in secret. This does not secure and protect the rights of The People in the state of California.

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Voring_machine_grup_identifies_new_flaws_0731.html

The Open Voting Foundation, a California-based nonprofit organization that works to promote the adoption of "open source" technology to the nation's voting machines, has announced it has found what it calls the "worst ever security flow found in Diebold RS voting machines."

The Foundation claims to have discovered a switch inside of the machine which, when flipped, can have the machine operate in "a completely different manner compared to the tested and certified version."
