Nothing good said on the republican side?

Mike Gravel could be more specific since Mike Gravel is saying many of the same things said by Ron Paul inlcuding the need to improve the tax code.

Why not abolish the IRS and Federal Reserve for example?

What ever happened to giving credit where credit is due and on the other hand what ever happened to torture and mass murder as being evil?

The largest discrepency [sic] between our results and the official results was in Ron Paul’s totals. Our poll showed him coming in 2nd after Duncan Hunter with 90 (out of308)votes and 29.22% of the total; the “official” results showed him coming in 3rd with 217 (out of 1300) votes and 16.69%of the total.

    My New Hampshire phone rings (caller ID 000-000-0000 WTF?)and I pick it up out of curiosity. “This is (talking like a magpie so I haven’t got a clue what the name of the company is) Research. Would you like to be part of a poll for the Democratic presidential primary candidate?” I agree and the woman rapidly reads the list of candidates. “Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Dodd, Biden and Richardson.” I say, “Kucinich.” The woman on the phone says “Who?” I say, “Kucinich. Dennis Kucinich.” I hear coaching in the background - apparently the call is being monitored. “I’m sorry, but Dennis Kucinich is not on our list. Is there anyone on the list I gave you who you would vote for?”

    So there you have it. Kucinich is down in the polls because he isn’t included in the polls . . . and you can forget about Gravel, too.

    LA-based Pajamas Media hates their poll so much that recently it had to remove its winners so that the politicians that they're rooting for will have a chance.

    PJ Media, who has had a tragic history of fuckups, embarrassments, and going nowhere despite raising millions of dollars, have been holding online straw polls for months. After results of a poll that started the week of September 16th were tallied, anti-war Democratic presidential nominee Dennis Kucinich's 132 votes were good enough to earn him the "win" out of lefty hopefuls, and anti-war Republican prez nom Ron Paul collected 512 votes or 61% of the nods for righties.

    Unless you are a political junkie who tapes local government proceedings while at work or at least faithfully checks in with USA Election Polls – the site that compiles presidential polling data from the major and some minor outlets for your convenience – you probably do not even know who Mike Gravel is or what he has to do with the 2008 presidential election. The former state senator from Alaska is wooing voters for the democratic nomination.

    His campaign coffers are precariously empty, and his stances may not make him too popular with the mainstream democratic constituency. He is in favor of an immediate and complete withdrawal from Iraq, supports a national sales tax and the eradication of the IRS, and he seeks to institute a direct democracy. Yet in spite of his vociferous campaigning, he failed to become a media darling and it took raucous complaining to even get invited to the televised debates.

    Yet the USA Election Polls site shows that even his television appearances do not appear to have turned popular opinion in his favor. Sure, he shook up the other candidates and in many ways became to Hillary Clinton what Ron Paul is to Rudy Giuliani – a stalking horse. Single digit polls all the way around may shake the faith of some in this candidate for the democratic nod, but Mr. Gravel is far from giving up on his dreams. Is he crazy like a fox and has an ace up his sleeve or is simply a barking moon-bat?

    We took a look at the entire ABC News Debate transcript from 8/19, parsed the file, and counted how many words each of the candidates were able to speak. The two candidates with the least amount of words were Kucinich and Gravel. Obama and Clinton as you would expect dominated in how many words they were able to speak.

    The total number of words spoken at the debate was 14,528. Stephanopoulos spoke 1907 words and Yepsen spoke 197 so a total of 12,424 words
