21 Chron’s patients were included in the study, all of whom had had previous unsuccessful treatments for the disease including steroidal therapy, immunomodulators and anti-tumor agents.
The group was split into two and half were given cannabis THC oil for 10 weeks.
The results were as follows:
Complete remission in 5 of 11 subjects in the cannabis THC group
Clinical responses in 10 of 11 subjects in the cannabis THC group
e.g., their Crohn’s Disease Activity Index went from >200 to >100
3 of 11 subjects in the cannabis THC group were weaned from steroid dependency
All subjects in the cannabis THC group reported having improved sleeps and appetites (with no significant side effects)
Doctors are still unsure as to why THC oil has such a wonderful effect on the body, they just know it works. It has been suggested that the active ingredient in the cannabis, cannabinoids have ultra-healing properties on the body in many different ways.
