So what exactly do you mean by open source everything? "We have over 5 billion human brains that are the one infinite resource available to us going forward. Crowd-sourcing and cognitive surplus are two terms of art for the changing power dynamic between those at the top that are ignorant and corrupt, and those across the bottom that are attentive and ethical. The open source ecology is made up of a wide range of opens – open farm technology, open source software, open hardware, open networks, open money, open small business technology, open patents – to name just a few. The key point is that they must all develop together, otherwise the existing system will isolate them into ineffectiveness. Open data is largely worthless unless you have open hardware and open software. Open government demands open cloud and open spectrum, or money will dominate feeds and speeds.

That is gaining currency fast considering how the information began some time ago and was not gaining currency much, but now it is taking off in a big way.
The original idea was invented thousands of years ago, and it was kept as a trade secret, whereby the foundational idea is merely crime, it is merely crime.

That quote about the bounty on the king may not at first sound like Assassination Markets but the same stuff happens in the world of crime. There is power invested in causing specific things to happen a specific way and there is no coincidence that power flows from victims to criminals each time.
Put options, selling short, these are things of the same character. Investments are made and that movement of purchasing power is the CAUSE not the EFFECT of the things that happen, such as a dead king, and then a fine payed, and then other things less overt happen behind closed doors, where secret meetings take place, and the flow of power flows precisely as desired, precisely the power flows according to the design of those who make the initial investment.

From the viewpoint of a criminal there is a simple solution to their problems.
When people refuse to be victims the criminals find ways to fool the victims into asking for the opportunity to become a victim.
That is one way to look at the law, outlaw, conflict.
When people refuse to be victims the criminals are then faced with a serious problem called defense of the victims.
When government is understood to be the effective defense of the victims then laws are those methods by which the victims are effectively defended from the criminals.
That means that anyone who does not volunteer to be a criminal is inside the law.
That means that anyone who volunteers to be a criminal is outside the law.
That means that the criminals have figured out a very simple solution to the law problem.
The criminals create counterfeit law, and then when the victims are seeking a way to defend against the criminals the victims are then fooled into paying the criminals for the opportunity to be victims while the victims think they are paying the defenders for defense against the criminals.

There is a link to the simple solution to the problem facing everyone (including the criminals) on this planet because the criminals have taken over and they are destroying everything very fast.
So the simple solution is to replace the counterfeit government with many competitive opportunities for victims to find the highest quality and lowest cost effective defense against the criminals inside or outside counterfeit government.

The practice of "selling-short" or "put options" or criminally manipulating markets is the oldest profession but the Essay by Jim Bell connected the oldest profession to the newest measure of connectivity.
The criminals depend upon a ready supply of victims sufficient to keep the criminals satisfied with working on, dividing up, and extracting life from that scarce supply. When everyone becomes a criminal, there are no more victims, and so this connectivity, this OPEN SOURCE, this market anarchy, where no one is priced out of the market, ends the "crime pays well" problem two ways:
1.
Those who will not volunteer to be criminals and prefer not to be victims can do both; which means there are less and less victims feeding the criminal profits.
2.
Those who will volunteer to be criminals can chop the top off of the criminal pyramid with collective power through open source access.
So the moral defense is no longer scarce, no longer made scarce by the criminals who take over governments, so the cost of defense reduces to a practical minimum; an open source, free market, moral government affordable to everyone without exception.
At the same time there is open source markets connecting the criminals to the criminals as a function of collective power whereby a vote, or investment, of the criminals seeking to get rid of the competition, get rid of the more powerful criminals at the top, is also affordable to all the criminals.
Therefore the criminals have a steady decline in the supply of ready victims while their ability to defend against other criminals increases at roughly the inverse rate.
