Solar cell technology developed by the University’s Nanomaterials Research Centre will enable New Zealanders to generate electricity from sunlight at a 10th of the cost of current silicon-based photo-electric solar cells. http://masseynews.massey.ac.nz/2007/Press_Releases/04-04-07.html Think. If Solar Panels are currently capable of earning 200 percent more energy than the energy required to get them up and running now, then, how much more bang for the buck will the ratio be when the cost is reduced by 90%?
