I do not adhere to organized religion myself, knowing, as I do, that God is Truth, and therefore not within my limited field of view. When I know all there is to know, I'll know God too; which is far from where I am now. But, the message in the song is a warning, and it serves to help describe the fact that the legal criminals must have your consent, your willing participation, your agreement, your thoughts, and your actions must be lead in the direction that transfers your power to them, without that polarizing power, the legal criminals are powerless. Their source of power is, in that way of measuring, the power you produce.
Another illustration, similar to the song illustration, is a very old fable, or story, and this story has been passed from generation to generation since before modern organized religion began.

How much of the original message has been lost in translation over the years? Is the message simple enough to remain intact as the warning passes from the inventor to your ear now?

My translation:

Use your brain. Your brain has the capacity to compare one thing with another thing, and that is a very simple calculation. One thing is not as good as the other thing, when you decide to look at it, not when you are told that one thing is not as good as another thing.

The legal criminals claim to be offering security from terror, security from drugs, security from torture, security from economic collapse, security from toil, trouble, pain, suffering, work, hell on earth, or sharp pointed sticks, anything, any song, any story, will do, so long as you take the deal, and the deal, to you, will be, in your mind, that you give up your power to rescind, revoke, veto, end, terminate, expire, or otherwise disconnect your dealings from their dealings.
You are done, the war is over, they win, as soon as you acquiesce, and, on the other hand, as soon as you regain common sense, they have lost, and it is that simple, individually, and, conversely, it is as complicated as there are numbers of different individuals, each following their own paths, to their own ticket vendors, onto their own roads, to their own train stations, along their own paths, once they are on those mired paths to doom, those paths that are scripted by the legal criminals, and then sold to you, with pretty sounding songs, and all forms of false advertisements, behavioral modification routines, response conditioning, subliminal messaging, false propaganda, soft selling, hard selling, cajoling, threatening, pushing, pulling, ordering, whipping, enticing, with carrot, and stick, herding, focusing, polarizing, corralling, entrapping, sheering, absorbing, sucking, blood letting, torturing, and mass murdering.
Stop reading from the script, realize that you are not bound to the mast, and realize that you don't have wax in your ears that can filter out the lies, realize that you are participating, actively causing, your own doom, as your power flows from you to the very people who victimize you with the power you once had, the power that is no longer in your control, the power that had made you strong, the power that has now left you weak, the power that is now commanded by the criminals who attach their ideas, their desires, their goals, their aspirations, their designs, their intentions, to you, connecting as parasites to you, and leech all that is life out of you, and that is their life, that is their method of operation, that is their constructed reality, and by the connections they make to you, the connections you accept, that process perpetuates, and you, and those criminals, together, travel down that path, to that goal, on schedule.
It is complicated because it is not one thing, it is many different things, each person, each place, each time, as complicated as there are moments in a day, as complicated as their are thoughts in each mind, and as complicated as there are multitudes of actions performed by each person, each minute, at each location.
It is as simple as each example being commonly bound by the one common denominator, which is the transfer of power, from the many victims, to the few legal criminals, as easy, simple, and matter of fact, common sense, understandable, reasonable, logical, conceivable, as one word, and all the complexity that focuses on that one word, in English, and you can help me now, in offering the best word, the best single, common denominating word, the one polarizing, single minded, focal point, where all the individuals are heading, along the path, the one word is on each sign along the way, in this one direction, as each person travels along this one, single, direction, all traveling from different points of origin, but all ultimately arriving at the same end point.
What is that one single word?
I'll offer two competitive, best guess, words. You can think of one, yourself. You can invent one. You can invent a word, of warning, to be handed down to your loved ones, and you can warn them, and when they see this word, they are to stop, and they are to turn around, and they are to go anther way, not that way, don't get on that Long Black Train.
Which word?
Are you waiting for me to order you to use my word? Are you looking for help, or are you trained to wait for instructions?
Here are my offerings:

Either one will do, and I can't decide, exactly, which is the better word that can warn any hapless, powerless, willing, able, and ready victim, in preceding generations of mankind, as to which word, in English, connects me, to anyone, so as to help them know, you are on the wrong road, invent something better, or you will continue down that road, and you will meet more, and more, and more, and more, suffering people, more, and more, and more, and more, desperate people, and you will see torture, and you will see mass murder, and death will look like paradise to you, on that road.
What sign are you reading, on the road you are traveling?
How simple is it to invent a path that avoids that one path?
How many people are needed to make that path reach that goal? Everyone on that path, reach that goal, willfully; so reasonably: what is needed for anyone if anyone decides to avoid that path to that goal?
