Michael at The Libertarian Party contacted me via e-mail.

I am sending my second response back to Michael:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Michael,

I am running for president in my own way. I run an on-line presidential campaign. I did so during the last election cycle, and I am doing so during this cycle.

I also managed to get on the ballot, officially, in 1996, as Libertarian, for the 40th California District House of Representatives.

This presidential election cycle I added to my on-line campaign a reconnection to the Libertarian party, to see if I can combine my power to win the Presidential election, admittedly not powerful, alone, with the power to win the Presidential election that is measurably within the connection to the Libertarian party. You and I are defining that connection between me, a Presidential candidate, and The Libertarian Party.

I was not impressed by the effectiveness of The Libertarian Party, as a power to help candidates win elections during my first experience. Now I'm not finding much measurable power in the ability of The Libertarian Party in finding candidates.  I may not be up to your standard, sure, but I did answer a Libertarian Party web page solicitation concerning potential candidates.

Your introductory e-mails have so far failed to even address the subject of candidacy. How can that be explained? I submit an office candidacy notice, on The Libertarian Party web page, 20 days later I receive a curious e-mail from you, as if you have no clue concerning me and the candidacy notice. How can this situation be explained - reasonably?

My guess is that the people running The Libertarian Party are not working well together in the effort to find and then help the best representatives win office, and this current example reinforces that guess. The next thing, perhaps, guessing again, will be a suggestion that I run for a less powerful office. If that is the next response from you I can then know that The Presidential office is, according to you, not open to The Libertarian Party, which is what I needed to know before submitting my candidacy notice on The Libertarian Party web page.

If the work being done appears to have no purpose, it may be that the purpose is to have no purpose.

Joe

P.S.
I am now posting this e-mail on my Forum, because that is what i do, not what The Libertarian Party does, for whatever reason the people at The Libertarian Party do things. I post these things, like this e-mail, because I consider such things worth recording for future reference.
