Currently, we are working with retired military leaders at both conventions to get strong, clear wording against the use of torture into both parties' platforms. This month, a letter signed by 31 retired Generals and Admirals went to both the Democratic and Republican Platform Committees asking them to commit to upholding our obligations under the Geneva Conventions and return the United States to its long-standing and proper role as a world leader on human rights.
