The invitation for all manner of invective and accusation is a problem resulting from something called ‘guilt by association’.

Involuntary Capitalism is almost no different than Involuntary Socialism; therefore an argument against Involuntary Capitalism is an argument against Involuntary Socialism. The association of guilt concerns the method of inventing, creating, and maintaining human inter-action. If the method is to lie, cheat, rob, rape, torture, and mass murder the method is guilty of lying, cheating, robbing, raping, torturing, and mass murdering. This is an unfortunate case of mistaken identity. Capitalism is not bad. Socialism is not bad. People who lie, cheat, rob, rape, torture, and mass murder are bad. Capitalism is not ‘guilty’ of lying, cheating, robbing, raping, torturing, and mass murdering, and neither is Socialism, Communism, National Socialism, or Fascism guilty by association. People are guilty. People are guilty of associating the guilt of a person with the method used by the person or the people involved in human inter-action.

General Motors developed a prototype electric car which could go fast and emit no exhaust fumes or carbon emissions. Like a mobile phone, it plugged in at night, and would be ready to drive in the morning. The electricity needed costs a fraction of the price of petroleum for the same travel distance. The auto and oil industries lobbied fiercely to defeat laws aimed at promoting the electric car.

These are pieces to a puzzle concerning how the human species inter-acts. We are current beings. We exist in current time. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow never arrives, and today is always now. Today is currently passing by one second at a time as We The People inter-act with each other. We pass each other and we pass things to and from each other in our time. How do we manage to pass each other and pass things to and from each other in our time? Is this a puzzle now? Can you please pass the salt? What time is it? How about a word or two, a penny for your thoughts?
I am not begging. This is like a test for the reader; you will not pass or fail as you pass this sentence describing these questions concerning our time as we inter-act. The ability to produce power in our time is an ability to make power available to every human being in quantities that are almost unimaginable. This is physically factual. The Sun generates the power and we can now turn that power into electricity. That is now possible and that fact is not insignificant. Ignoring that significant fact is much like ignoring the fact that a criminal has the power to injure you and your loved ones.
Ignorance can be blissful in our time as We The People march on down into Dooms Day wondering which method is the best method of remaining ignorant. We are inventive beings. We are capable of reason. What possible reason explains the reluctance to know the facts about power? Power produced can be invested into the production of power producing products. One day there is one power producing product. The next day there are two power producing products. Now there is twice as much power being produced. The power needed to make another power producing product doubled. Make two more power producing product and the power supply doubles again. Now there is four times as much power due to investments into the production of power producing products. The sky is the limit.
Power produced into a state of over-supply causes the price of power to drop. The limit is then a situation where power is available to every single human being who can use power at a cost that is zero. That is the human limit. The sky, or the Sun, is the physical limit.
When power is produced into a state of over-supply and the cost of power reaches for zero a strange thing also happens. People increase their purchasing power. People can buy more things and work less to earn those purchases. That fact is a physical relationship concerning the cost of producing things. Power lowers the costs of production.
This is easy to see. What happens to our power to earn the things we purchase when power becomes scarce? What happens when the price of oil doubles? What happens when the price of oil halves? What happens when the price of electricity doubles or halves? What happens when the price of natural gas or propane doubles or halves?
The test isn’t silly. It is a thought process that requires the power to reason. We The People have that power. Our ‘leaders’ pretend to be ignorant. I think they lie. Are we guilty by association?
