Gravel Campaign Update
Dear friend,
Over the course of the next few days, Mike will be in New York City, meeting with supporters, giving interviews to national media and speaking at locations around the city. Check back with our web site at Gravel2008.us for the latest details on his schedule.
On another note, Mike's update to his classic book, Citizen Power, is now in stock and available for order at the web site Citizen-power.us.
While Mike was back at the National Office in Arlington recently, he took some time out of his busy schedule to sign 50 copies for supporters. He will be offering these to the first 50 people who respond to this email today.
Mike's newly revised book is a sobering assessment of today's problems. More troubling still is the fact that little has changed since Gravel first put pen to paper 36 years ago. In fact, in most cases, the problems have only gotten worse. Despite all of this, readers of Citizen Power are not left with a sense of hopelessness. There is a solution proposed by Mike, which will lift the spirits of even the most seasoned cynic: "The only possibility of government reform is through empowerment of the people. Wouldn't you rather be a part of the governing process instead of being under the thumb of those who control the government?" asks Mike. "Wouldn't you like to have enough control so that government and corporate power respond to your needs?"
And that's the reason why Mike is running for president: To empower you.
