Mike Takes on Rivals
In National Iowa Debates
Democratic Presidential candidate and former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel will be appearing in two national debates in early December while campaigning in Iowa.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, the Senator will be at the Iowa Brown & Black Presidential Forum at North High School in Des Moines. The debate starts at 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET) and will be aired live on HDnet, the country's largest high-definition television network.
It will be moderated by Michele Norris, host of National Public Radio's "All Things Considered," and Ray Suarez, senior correspondent for PBS's "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer." There will also be a preview show beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT hosted by Dan Rather, Global Correspondent for HDNet's "Dan Rather Reports."
For those who live in the Iowa area, we will have 40 tickets to give away. If you're in the area and would like to attend, send an email to volunteers@Gravel2008.us. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. CT. All must be seated by 6:45 CT.
In addition, Senator Gravel will be at the National Public Radio Debate at the State Historical Building at 600 East Locust Street on Wednesday, Dec 4. This debate will be aired nationally over NPR stations from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. CT.
