 What I read above looks, to me, more like a commentary upon what I have written than a direct challenge, to be honest.

The way in which I used the term "The Remnant" is consistent with the way Frank Chodorov used it. The Remnant keeps knowledge alive when the masses thirst after ignorance; they refuse to buy into a popular ideal which is built upon sand. They also keep alive ideals which are scorned.

All of this implies that a Remnant is a group which is shunned by most. Rather than being a cabal of the powerful, the Remnant is an underground-by-circumstance of the powerless. They are both above the masses, in terms of connection to the real or to an ideal, and below the masses, in terms of political power and influence. If a Remnant tries to exhort the public, then its members see the masses as temporarily deluded (as a result of being misled in some cases), as well as capable of separating truth from fancy in less excited times.
