What?
That is a question imposed by conscience.
One looks in the mirror asking.
What?
There is more; of course.
What what?
How can one go on?
How what?
How about taking a poll?
I can take one.
Who decides what is what and how?
Who or whom?
It must be me.
Having settled that question definitively, in a vacuum, the space between my ears, it may now be a good idea, if one is to avoid insanity, to imagine, at least, what another one might think.
How, then, might one go about doing this monumental task?
What, then, are the laws governing such behavior?
One might ask.
What if one doesn't like the answer?
Seek help or give up?
One could force the issue.
Is that law?
Suppose, then, that it is the law: one must force the issue.
Who, then, forces the issue?
Take another poll?
Suppose one does this task and the enforcer is chosen rather than simply being a function of force where one takes because one can?
What next?
Should one simply obey from that point on until one dies?
What if another one breaks the law and succeeds in forcing the issue without permission from the enforcer?
Is it time for another poll?
No, certainly not, the enforcer must decide what is or is not to do about it.
Let him or her speak now.
What if one can't wait because the law breaker is currently capitalizing on the indecision?
What if, in other words, the situation demands immediate action in defense against a clear and present danger?
Poll?
It must be one or the other and it can't be both at the same time.
If the law is one and only one decider, then, that one had better be a good one.
If the law is a poll, then, one might wonder just exactly what that thing is or is not.
If time permits, then, one might start polling now.
Who decides who is polled and who decides what the poll is or is not?
One must begin the process or the process does not begin.
I'll give it a try.
Poll question number one:
What is a poll?
I'll make it multiple choice:
A poll is the voice of every living human beings conscience speaking all at once as time goes by.
A poll is a means to enforce an issue
A poll is nothing whatsoever; it does not exist
A poll is an angry mob seeking an object to be punished ASAP
A poll is exactly what I say it is; no more and no less
A poll is none of my business; let others bother themselves about it.
A poll sounds like a way to get a more accurate measure of public opinion.
A poll is pure unadulterated nonsense i.e. falsehood
I didn’t number the multiple choice answers for the number one poll. It takes care of itself. One can hear it. One can ignore it. One can blame it. One can even utilize it for one’s own special interest or one can utilize it to get a more accurate measure of public opinion.
The decider can then know more about what can be done about it.
It is, perhaps, poll question number two:
What is it?
It is power isn’t it?
One decides, one polls, one has power or one does not have power.
Which is better?
More power
Less power
One might want to decide that one for one’s self.
Another will probably decide if one does not decide and that is a power that can certainly be abused.
If one suggests that less power may be better, then, one might seek a second opinion; that is a powerful choice.
One might seek as many second opinions as possible; that is even more powerful.
Take a poll.
If one suggests that a poll is not a good idea in addition to the suggestion that less power is better than more power, then, another one might be inspired to bend over, with some Vaseline handy, or just stop breathing.
If one decides that The Law says that less power is better than more power and enforces The Law that prescribes all polls invalid and inevitably illegal, then, one might wake up to find the rose no longer smells sweet; it smells like shit.

Hypocrite?
The Law, it seems, is a power struggle between one and the group. It doesn’t matter who is the one. What matters is who has the power and how that power is used.
One might look into constructive power. It constructs. One might stop focusing on destructive power. It destroys.
Note: I didn’t write evil in this post!
