The Reactionary Utopian

 Blaming Bush

May 4, 2006

I missed his latest achievement, an act of lese majesty at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, where he ridiculed the chief guest, President Bush, without mercy.

That is what I'm talking about!

( P )  Pronunciation Key  (mj-st)
n. pl. maj·es·ties
    1. The greatness and dignity of a sovereign.
    2. The sovereignty and power of God.
  1. Supreme authority or power: the majesty of the law.
    1. A royal personage.
    2. Majesty Used with His, Her, or Your as a title and form of address for a sovereign.
    1. Royal dignity of bearing or aspect; grandeur.

Once I looked the words up (words that mean one thing - obviously) and put the two together, then, the light shines. It was pretty dark before I looked up "lese".

Looking words up isn't so bad. One finds one word that means one thing sometimes. That is practially unique these days. Soon 'we' may be redefining the word "The". "We" has already suffered enough - without mercy.

That stinks.
