Reading the above is a discovery for me. I now know that my experiences are not so uncommon. The differences are obvious to me; like having one shouted at one minute and completely ignored the next minute. The message is the same: "Don't fuck with my conscience freedom." Yes, it is vulgar. I'm not sure if the silent version is more or less vulgar. I know! How about this: The ole' good cop bad cop routine: One will listen for a moment and then just about the time that tactic sooths one into a sense of security, just then, a steady and unrelenting excretion of expletives crashes all hope. Like being on death row; maybe I will confess anything whatsoever just kill me or let me live. So there is my commentary. It sure seems like a breath of fresh air to have consistent responses to a well understood communication. One may be inclined to throw a party; at least the feedback is clear.
