Since the font is bothering you, it can, eventually, bother me. My suggestion is to change the font to a few other (less bothersome) types and save those edited versions with another file name.
Then have as close to actual size examples shown side by side on your computer screen to see if you can better understand what constitutes the cause of bother.
I thought it was very well done to have differences in font for the different people offering words. I did not pay much attention to how those words appeared in context of my feelings at the time. I really think you are finding talent in writing and editing.
