 At the time of those thoughts of time and the level of relative pain I was dealing with a pulmonary embolism which was physical pain, but the thinking was more of a creative venture having to do with not directing my thoughts and finding these ideas being presented to me for consideration, and the idea took on a shape like a sign wave but not as if looking at an oscilloscope, instead something non-dimensional or mult-dimensional.  

Those thoughts turned into, or appeared as a stepping stone to thoughts concerning the idea of nothingness existing for eternity and then the first thing appears after a time period that reduces the scale of measurable time in our universe to a relatively small amount of time, like a fraction of an electric spark being the entire life span of the universe we measure in our (or my) perception. Then nothingness again for a period of time that makes the time before our universe, by scale, a fraction of an electric spark itself, as nothingness takes over for another incomprehensible time span.

Then I think things like all that being on a scale that is smaller than a fraction of the distance between protons and neutrons and outside that universe that we perceive is a universe that is a larger scale existence so distant from our nothingness and our little spark, or my nothingness, and my little spark (since perception does not exist as far as you know), that the time to travel, even at the speed of light, between one thing and another thing in that larger scale universe would take an amount of time that makes the time of our nothingness appear like a fraction of a spark in that world.

These are the concepts, or ideas, or thoughts, I sometimes get when I work to turn off my willful thinking, not doing any actions, just praying or meditating, seeking the origin of thought.

I've also run into ideas concerning the concept of infinity whereby everything does happen including every conceivable perception experienced by every single perceptive being.

That is where, to me, things get scary.
