                                   The Backwards Backyard

Hugo Chavez works in no one’s backyard, despite what his detractors think. How then can “We the People” of the all powerful United States know the truth concerning the work done by our friends in that southern half of these Americas? We may need to ask someone who knows the truth and even then it can be beneficial to remain skeptical. We may have to use our brains. Being feed a steady diet of false propaganda will never work when the idea is to learn and act right so as to prosper. We owe future generations the least bit of effort toward this amazing feat of accurately discriminating between the good, the true, and the false evil wrong stuff. Out with the bad and in with the good, like breathing.

I can offer my limited version of the facts in such a way as to inspire curiosity, no more and no less. An inspiration leads toward more data accumulation and processing, learn and think and do so accurately. Don’t be false, not on purpose. News is ingested, through the senses, as the brain categorizes selected items into true and false storage bins while good stuff is kept and bad stuff is deleted; never to be seen again. False stuff can be tagged for future use, like a sign on a door that says: “Do Not Enter”. Stupid stuff can be removed from the hard drive as irrelevant. True stuff is useful, it leads to more learning and right action. The truth can help set people free from falsehood, at least.

Our southern hemisphere neighbors are holding onto Hugo Chavez. Enough people living in that America have decided that Hugo Chavez is good enough to keep, for now. Perhaps we in this North American area could use a similarly popular source of leadership. Here we have a contrast, or opposite situation, compared to there. Here we have a leader that few people continue to accept, with a straight face. Some are taking him to trial, seriously. Our leader can be trusted. He lies. All his people can be trusted too. They all lie, on cue.

One of the big lies concerns Hugo Chavez. The lie suggests, in a covert or partially hidden way, that the people in South America are being threatened by that personable president. The lie goes on to report, in an overt way, that Hugo Chavez is a dictator likened to Hitler; of course, who else? Why would anyone ever be likened to Hitler? Hitler legalized torture. Hitler ordered the mass murder of millions of innocent people. Hitler invaded nations with occupying troops.

Hugo Chavez ordered the purchase of food to feed the starving masses. I think that is his real crime, according to his honest critics. I can’t find one. I’m guessing. The truth of this seeming contradiction can be found by anyone having an interest in finding the truth. Ask a victim. Ask one of the victims of Hugo Chavez’s dictatorial crimes. This is possible. One of Hugo Chavez’s victims is alive and well fed, perhaps more than one. Can the same be said for the benefactors of our own president’s effort to spread democracy? Surely one can come forward and report the wonders of our generosity. Many are being tortured without legal representation. Many are dead. Some are in court, seeking justice because they were tortured, that is what the legal documents claim.

Who can I trust? This is an important question. I’ve thought about it. I have done my share of research. I can trust both presidents. When the president in the north speaks, I can trust that he will lie. When the president in the south speaks, I can trust that the people who elected him will listen carefully. I can also trust that the people in South America will be skeptical about everything Hugo Chavez reports, because their prosperity is on the line. They are threatened by powerful economic forces. They are on the brink of a new age. They could tip right. They could tip left. They could spiral down into the abyss of false leadership where the bottom is a physical hell of torture and mass murder. Blood may flow. That blood could be on their hands literally and physically. Perhaps I am speaking of nonsense. Who on earth would ever visit upon our species another age of torture and mass murder, another dark age? Who has that power? Who would abuse that power? Why would anyone ever create hell on earth on purpose? Is it profit? Is it stupidity? Is it insanity?

I do not fear Hugo Chavez. He lives very far from me and my family. We live in California. If Hugo Chavez invaded Brazil and terrorized Brazilian people or seized their sugar crops to profit from their Ethanol industry, my son would not be drafted into the military to fight that war; on either side. We are safe. The political and military situation in South America does not affect me. Why would I care? I have a friend there, it does.

Hugo Chavez and Venezuela own oil. They sell oil to the rest of the world. They sell oil to North America. North America buys oil with dollars. If Hugo Chavez orders a military campaign to invade another country, that would be bad. The flow of oil to us might slow down. That means higher prices for oil. That means higher prices for gasoline and higher prices for everything; so the official economists say. That is a threat. I might have to drive less or walk. I might buy Solar Panels and an electric car. Woe is me.

The threat to the U.S.A. is even worse than the higher prices for gasoline scenario because Hugo Chavez and the people in Venezuela will sell oil to Europe and Asia for European and Asian money, not dollars. That is a huge threat to our dollar because the dollar is already growing weaker and weaker while our president spends more and more dollars on nuclear bombs and invasions of countries halfway around the globe. There isn’t much of a return on investing in torturing and killing people half the way around the globe, unless you count the profits of no bid military contractors. It is a very expensive venture to ship troops and supplies all that way. Bombs are not cheap. I don’t think the military contractors are cheap either; they ignore my cost. They have the money. They invest the money. They spend the money. We have the bill. There is very little return on that investment, that war, unless the invaders and occupiers can secure a flow of oil or heroin from those invaded and occupied countries. Iraq and Iran have oil. We could profit from it, if we can get it. Afghanistan has lots of Poppy plants, since we brought those guys back into power. Someone can profit from heroin, or is that crime? Who do I ask? Oil and heroin can be sold for money. The dollar can be strong again. That is plan A. A little bird didn’t tell me. Some of the guys on the inside are speaking up. They are called whistle blowers. They blow. They are blowing the whistle before he blows up Iran and starts WWIII or IV. They lost count. Who is he? Many are pointing fingers now. He did it. No, he did it. Who voted for him? They lost count on that one too, on purpose.

Hugo Chavez is a threat. The dollar may crash because Hugo Chavez stopped selling oil for dollars. That does not make Hugo Chavez Hitler. Hitler invaded Russia for oil. Hitler didn’t have oil. Hitler made oil from coal. Hitler bought the coal to oil formula from Standard Oil of New Jersey. Don’t trust me. Look it up. We sold the formula to Hitler to protect the monopoly on oil. We don’t want anyone to make oil from coal, not even Hitler. Oil from coal would reduce the price of oil. That is right, don’t trust me, we are mixed up. We don’t know right from left, or is that right from wrong? I went to school.

North Americans may have to buy Solar Panels and Electric Cars if we want to keep on driving around on vacation after work. We may even have to make all those Solar Panels and Electric Cars ourselves since no one will want dollars after our president nukes Iran, if we let him. Our dollar will be worthless soon. We may have to declare a war on falsehood and a war on oil dependence. How about a war on dollars? Join in. Thanks a lot Hugo, see what you have done? No wonder “they” call him Hitler.
